(Thought I'd be different.)

"Okay, how did I end up here?"
Roxas took a good look at his surroundings. Tall buildings, pale peach in colour, incased him. The light also told him that it was most probably sunset in this strange world. Humming merrily to himself, he strode around with confidence, trying not to look like an outsider. Of course, he had no idea where he was and began to search for a sign of some sort.

Guess it's easier to find those right in front of you.
THWACK!
"Hey, ouch!"

Shaking his sore head, Roxas looked up to see a sign post. Clumsiness can be convienent at times. He squinted at the words.
"T...Twi...light...Town... Hm. Twilight Town." Nodding at his discovery he got up and was about to keep looking, until he thought about the name he just read.

"Say what?!"

(So other then the sign post, sunset (It's always sunset their I swear) and tall buildings, which are really everywhere in Twilight town I have no idea where you are. So..)

From away, their was singing. It was already soft to begin with, a personal tune. Something to be sang to yourself when no one else was up and about. Sitting on Sunset Hill, curled up his legs under him on the ground. He stayed away from the fenced edges of the hill, unable to bring himself to look down. The drop was so long and it terrified him. So he stayed in the center eyes on the ground under him, his long black claw like nails trailing in the dirt, moving around little pieces of stone and gravel. No one else was about, or so he thought. Nothing to fear in singing from his heart.

Don’t turn away
I pray you’ve heard
The words I’ve spoken
Dare to believe
For one last time
And then I’ll get the

Darkness cover me
Deny everything
Slowly walk away
To breathe again
On my own

The form was all black at first, black pants, clothes and leather boots. His skin that could be seen of his hands was far to pale to be healthy. His hair long, black with icy blue streaks through it's mass that fell to obscure his face as he sang. It was long down to his back over his shoulders. He was frail, petite. The clothing large on him, the shirt bellowing a bit in the slight breeze.

Carry me away
I need your strength
To get me through this
Dare to believe
For one last time
And then I’ll let the

Darkness cover me
Deny everything
Slowly walk away
To breathe again
On my own

The voice was high, melodious, as if the language normally spoken was one far more beautiful then the common speech he was singing in. The voice was young, soft, on the end of perhaps even female. Or in the very least a boy before or during puberty. But the tiny fragile frame, long hair and high voice with such melody had always caused Nathanial problems. Most always mistakenly assumed him a girl. It was something the 13 year old boy was far to used to.

To breathe again
On my own.

(Hm. Guess I'll just find my way to you.)

After his shocking discovery of his location, Roxas began to wander the now familiar streets of his old home world. Twilight Town hadn't changed much. It still had that funny evening glow that he used to admire on top of the Clock Tower. Roxas continued walking along the path that the Tram rode along, praying that the vehicle still stopped when someone was in it's way. He remembered skating around the Tram Common, putting up posters for the Struggle Matches. Smiling wanly, he also remembered his 'famous' stacking on top of Seifer.

Deciding that he wanted to see the old Struggle Ring once more and see if there were any more matches to be played, Roxas turned to go to the Sandlot. Looking around, he found the underground passes that led to all areas of Twilight Town. Walking through the entrance, his mind began to wander, reminiscing on times gone by, when he was stuck in the Virtual Twilight Town. It was so easy back then, sometimes he wished that he was still there...

Blinking when light hit him, Roxas realised that his feet had actually taken him to Sunset Station. He grumbled inwardly, waving when someone greeted him kindly, he turned to go back inside when he picked up the faint sound of someone singing. Curious, Roxas began to follow the melody. It was unetheral, but obviously in his tongue. Finally, he located the source of the beautiful voice, he blinked at the gorgeous looking person sitting on the hill.

"Um, hello?"

The figure had seemed to once their song was over curl further into the ball that they had already been in. Head bowed as it was now his hair over his shoulders, the sides and back of his neck were exposed. Old love marks, and even teeth marks. Deep enough that they were old but still remained as bruised and raw as they were upon receiving them. Licking lips, ears had caught onto movement, his ears more sensitive to sound like all Sere'th, though he was only half. His form stiffened at the approach and he took in a soft breath, as if to calm himself. The words were not entirely unexpected and the head raised from it's drooping position.

Icy blue eyes, vibrant and wide regarded Roxas, their was much emotion behind these eyes. Unable to ever stop himself from showing what he was feeling at that moment from others. Fear was prominent at the strangers approach though in truth Roxas was not all that intimidating, but people were intimidating in general to Nathanial. Especially males.
An incline of his head that would remind of a bow, "H-Hello," he whispered back, it seeming on the wind and incredibly soft. Now that their was another their the boy was much more reluctant to speak and he seemed to stutter as well.

He slowly unwinds himself and turned to Roxas, his arms wrapping about his knees, the long black claws that served as his nails more visible now. His head a little to the side, curiosity also in his wide eyes. His lips had a slight shine of gloss, and his eyes were lined by eyeliner. Giving more toward the question of boy or girl.

Roxas blinked at the seemingly shy person in front of him. He noted the slight fear in his eyes, and back pedalled slightly. Scared people were often prone to hasty attacks, and Roxas wasn't sure if the Keyblade would come to his aid just yet. He continued to observe through passive eyes as he took in the inhumane claws and the pale skin, the drooped posture, almost fetal in its shape. It intrigued him. He decided that this particular person interested him.
This one may be an outsider. I wonder where he's from.

Roxas paced slowly around him... or it may be a her, judging by the beauty of their face in the dimming light. It reminded him of a book he once read, about creatures called 'vampires', possessing beautiful looks to draw their prey in for the kill. They fed on blood of any kind, also there were some that fed on emotions alone. He shivered inwardly before putting on a friendly, puppy-like look.

"Hi." He grinned widely, blue eyes wide and child-like. "Are you new here?"
Finally coming to a stop beside the railings surrounding the hilltop, he perched himself delicately on the topmost fence, trying to keep steady so he wouldn't fall onto the railway below. He shifted to an open position, as to not show and hostility to his new aquaintance. It wouldn't do much if he scared them off before he got a chance to talk.

Throughout the minute exchange, no matter how friendly the face, Roxas's eyes remained guarded.

The boy stayed where he was as Roxas stepped back a few steps. Wary eyes followed him as he seemed to circle him. The wariness doubling at this action, to the one on the floor Roxas seeming the predator for the moment. When finally the older sat on the fence after saying some words Nathanial bit his lip.
"I th-think I have lived here b-before. I was brought here, but never l-let out of the house. But I the feeling of th-this place.." this World, "is the same."
Looking back down to his hands his attention stayed on his long nails.
"But be-because i can not r-r-remember, I suppose y-yes. I would be new h-here."

Icy blues looked back up to Roxas and he gave the tiniest lifting of his lips. A pathetic smile, but a try in the very least. He seemed to go silent a few moments but he opened his glossed icy blue lips again.
"A-are you f-from here?" The boy was trying to be conversational though Roxas still scared him.
Licking his glossed lips his head to the side again a soft blush rising in his cheeks adding even more the fragile doll image.
"You h-heard me sing.."

Roxas tried not to frown at the boy's timidness. Yes, he had decided that the person sitting in front of him was male. He only hoped he had it right. Roxas wasn't scary, or at least he himself thought so. Roxas pondered at the stammering boy, sceptical as to whether or not that haunting voice did, in fact, come from the shy male.

Roxas's lips quirked at the vague answer to his previous question. It was similiar to his own experience a long time ago. He also noted that he spoke in proper English, not the slangy, new cut down version of the younger generations. This seemed to liken his image more to that of a vampire.
No, Roxas! Stop thinking like that! He is not a vampire. You really need to stop reading those books!

Roxas smiled at the next question.
"No, I'm not from here, per say." He twiddled his thumbs for a bit, then continued. "I've been here, but not here, you know? Like, on a different wavelenght to this one." He wondered if that actually made any sense. Roxas's mind finally registered the final question and he looked at his companion.
"Yes, I did. You have a most... magnificent voice. Quite haunting really." He tilted his head to the side. "It reminds me of a friend's voice, fluid, like water."

Nathan seemed to ponder on the others words not quite understanding them as their was no context behind them, and also a word he had no idea what meant. Wave Length? Was that like an achual wave? Like water? Nathanial came from a world of fantasy and magic, swords and steel. No technology, at least nothing past the basic musket and gunpowder. Which both were hard to make and refine, so their was even little of that.

A soft giggle left him at the others words about his voice the blush deepening, "Thank y-you. V-very much, I don't like s-singing in front of others and I usu-usually sing in my own tongue not this common one. But pe-people if they heard me singinging i-in Sere'th would h-have questioned me and I'd r-rather not that happen."

He uncurled slowly, Nathan moving to stand up. It was diffacult to do so for him as he put all of his weight on his right side unable to put any on his left. His lips were pursed and his eyes looked away from Roxas as he stood hiding any pain in his movements. His left side seemed to be entirely useless no weight able to be held on it almost at all. One hand laying on his hip as he put a bit of weight on it and relaxed a little.
"My s-step s-sisters voice w-was like that, flowing, like a fall. It was beau-beautiful, I w-wanted my voice to be k-kind of like that one day."

Roxas laughed softly at the open confusion his new friend showed in those window-like eyes. They were like his own, showing emotions like a television screen. "That's what I thought."

Slowly, he was piecing together a background to this boy. Young, male, not so familiar with technology. Perhaps from a planet stuck in the eras of old? He was certainly more interesting than Roxas first thought, that much he was positive about. He may be an ally worth having, if only he could get the boy to open up a little bit more...

Roxas smiled kindly at the thanks he recieved... which faded into slight confusion at the mention of a strange name.
"Se... Sere'th?" He blinked. He hadn't heard of that place before, and he was sure that Sora had visited almost all of the planets in this particular galaxy. He frowned as he began to count the worlds he had been to in the past. Then something else soon caught his attention.

He looked like he was in pain. Roxas swiftly stood, in case the boy collasped. He blinked at the change in his attitude. This boy was sure worming his way into his heart quite fast.... It was probably the helplessness that radiated off him, although Roxas was sure that he was far from helpless, judging by those claws...

"Your sister?" Roxas puzzled over this for a bit then smiled. "I'm sure you could easily match her voice. At least, I think so." Roxas walked forward, arms slightly open in a friendly, 'I'm-not-dangerous' manner.

"I'm sorry, I didn't catch your name. I'm Roxas."

The blush deepened and eyes fell a second at the others laughter. He was getting better with technology, the magicless lights weren't so confusing anymore and he knew what that thing was called that he had seen move on those metal tracks below. A train. And the smaller version of it down the hill a trolley? The names were deeply foreign to him as much so as his the name he had spoken up was to Roxas.

Taking that moment to ground himself from the pain he did not reply to what the name meant at least not yet, Roxas slowly approuching. Nathanial watched him their was much indeed to see inside his eyes. They were true windows to his broken soul. He wanted to trust the other as he appeared kind, Roxas did not seem to want to hurt him or use him. But their was inborn reaction to strangers, espicially men because of times in the past. Nathanial was struggling with himself and finally he seemed to give up. Giving into trusting again, into maybe being hurt.
"O-oh, s-sorry," bashful his eyes raise again to look at Roxas's blues.
"Na-Nathanial, Nathanial Peter Quele Royale R-Roxas."

He seems to now be holding himself tightly, arms around his front as if hugging himself from the cold, it is an insecure and highly nervous position, closed. But that he is speaking to the other was quite ab it for the boy in question.
"Sh-she has had hundreds of years t-to practise, to r-refine her voice. I'll n-never be as g-good as her."
As I wont even live to be an adult.

Roxas watched, cautious of the indecision the younger male seemed to be facing. He wondered if he had pushed it a little bit too far with the name asking. He waited patiently, his reward being the name of his friend. Nathanial Peter Quele Royale. Now that was a mouthful. It was a regal sounding name, like that of a royal bloodline. He pondered some more.
Hm... young, male, possibly royalty, lives in a world with limited technology... Maybe they run on magic.

Roxas looked up and watched as Nathanial's arms wound around his small frame. Insecure. He smiled gently at him. A reassuring smile, to show he meant no harm. He kept his expression friendly, while inside, he danced. Nathanial trusted him enough to give him his name. Now there's a start. Roxas's giddy high came down with vengeance as he noted the year span.

"Hu...hundreds?" Well. That was shocking. "How long did she live for?" Now that was starting to bring back the 'vampire' themes within him once more. He shook his head, trying to clear the images. Nathanial seemed too docile to be a vampire. But the name of his homeworld, the elegance he seemed to naturally possess, the beauty of his being, his unetheral voice...

Was it possible? Was his new friend really a vampire?

The gentle smile was welcome still so uncertain of the other, though he was not some complete stranger anymore. He knew Roxas's name and they had lightly spoken already, sharing small facts of each other and this place. That was surely something to build his trust in the other. Though perhaps Nathan just trusted to easily...

He still kept his arms around himself highly insecure but he gave his own small smile back, his lips lifting to form a half smile back to the blonde. Though the others question asked in such shock made Nathan berate himself. He should not have mentioned his sisters long-gevity, most humans would be shocked after all. Humans only lived to an average of 45 on his home world.
"Sh-she..yet lives," he gave another soft smile this one a bit more insecure.
"She's of a people that live forever, i-if they do n-not die from wounds o-or heart break. She's..over fo-four hundred now. So th-that's why her voice is so beautiful. She h-has had a long time to practise."
Nodding to what he himself had said.

"But I-I'm not full Sere'th, I can d-die of what all m-mortals can, d-disease and o-old age. Though o-old age would be l-longer for me..ab-about 160 y-years."
Not that he would see a tenth of that.

People that live forever...

With beautiful voices that could herald the dawn of the new day or the end of the world, with looks so deceiving, they could be named either male or female, that quite possibly, they lived off medieval methods and magic. Could it really be true? Could such a race exist? Roxas began to contemplate this. Yes, yes it was possible for people to live entirely on magic. He recalled a place that Sora visited called Disney Castle, where majority of the cleaning staff were enchanted brooms. Of course, Roxas couldn’t ask anything, merely watching through his Somebody’s eyes.

Roxas sighed, wishing he too, had that kind of life span... before slapping himself in the face. If he was still, truly a Nobody, truly non-existing, then yes, he also had a lifetime spanning eternity. The dread that accompanied his musing shattered any desire of wanting to live that long, knowing that he would bear witness to the sufferings of the world.

“Is... is living that long worth it? Is it worth going through time and watching as the worlds suffered and knowing that you may never be able to help them?” Roxas voice his curiousity, wanting a second opinion on his thoughts. “Is living that long a blessing or a curse?”
He then smiled.

“Yeah, I can see that. Four centuries is a long time for rehearsals.” He blinked at the next sentence. A hundred and sixty. Well, that wasn’t too bad. If the poor guy managed to survive through it all.

“It’s a pretty decent lifespan, if you ask me.”

Nathan remained silent as Roxas thought just watching Roxas curiously, still a little insecure but curious of the other teenager. He did not usually get close to people in the sense of both being near and also getting to know. So this experience was allowing him his curiousity, his eyes watching Roxas softly.

The sigh was not expected though and his head slanted to the side wondering what roxas was really thinking about, was hethinking about what Nathan had told him about the Sere'th's longevity.
The questions though Roxas asked had the younger male smiling, so this one was very intelligent as well. He could respect Roxas for his questions nd what they meant. That Roxas really did think about such things.
"It truelly d-depends on what you have in your life, if y-you have nothing to l-live for then it is only a curse. If y-you have someone o-or something it is a blessing to be w-with them or doing that th-thing for as long as you can."

The smile of the other had him smile softly as well, "It is, it's a long ti-time of s-singing in the tub t-too."
A giggle left him which meant he was more comfortable around Roxas now, "S-she used to always s-sing in the tub as our r-rooms were side by side. She a-always had such a l-lovely voice but she hardly used it in pu-publc."
A nod, "O-Oh it would be, th-the lifespan. Be d-decent."
It would be. The wording was would be, not it will be. It would be.

A frown came upon Roxas's face, one of understanding and great thought. Well, I guess that makes sense. If I had Axel, I could probably bear to live until the universe faded into Nothingness. He mused. But would he rather become the Nothingness sooner... or later? It was a difficult decision for the Nobody to make.
"I guess that would be true, if you knew what would happen to you after death. I... I would simply fade away into Nothing. It's kind of scary, knowing you'll never get that second shot at life. I know I'd want it."
He rubbed his head, still thinking and looking up at the sky. Nathan's next comment brought the young teen back down to earth.

A loud, friendly laughter filled the air. Now that was a classic sentence. The blond boy hastily toned down his voice, so as to not frighten the small, timid boy before him.
"Singing in the tub, eh? I haven't done that in a while. The last time I sang while washing, my best friend snuck a camera in and filmed it. Never been so embarrassed in my life." He let out a slow chuckle this time.
Roxas hummed thoughtfully.
"Why not in public? If her voice was as beautiful as yours, shouldn't she be proud to use it?"

Roxas caught on the hidden meaning behind Nathan's words. Would be? Was there something wrong? He hid his ponderings and gave a goofy grin at the boy.

"Sooo... Do I get an encore?"

It was diffacult for Nathanial to imagine nothingness after death. Death was a constant for the boy, something he knew would come for him one day, something he could not get away from and in a horrible way. It was comforting. he knew he would reborn by his Gods and would get another chance, all he had to do was make the most of this life, live it to the fullest through all of the trials and hardships in his path. Even through his destiny. Nothingness after death was a concept that terrified him.
A swallow heavy was the only show of these internal musings beyond a faint nod.

It was the others laughter that had him smiling again wishing for once to forget about the future and be in the moment. To make the most of what he had. However little it truelly was.
"R-really?" The younger male blushed deeply at the idea of someone seeing him shower, though a camera he had no idea what that was. Though someone seeing him showering was bad enough!
"She w-was used in her life for h-her abilities, powers b-beyond her control, po-powers she was born with. She did not come to a-appreciate herself for a-a long time. But she s-started to, I rem-remembered at my 8th birthday. Sh-she sang while my father played the violin a-and my mother the flute."
Good memories, things to cherish of his past before all began to go so dreadfully wrong.
"O-oh!"
The blush increased but he managed a soft nod and moved slowly stiffly back to a sitting position. And taking in a deep breath once he was back sitting on the sandy earth beneath him arms wrapped back around his knees pulling them to his chest.

Closing his icy blues he took in another deep breath as if readying himself beginning.

Ever felt away with me
Just once that all I need
Entwined in finding you one day

Ever felt away without me
My love, it lies so deep
Ever dream of me

His breathing was low, but quicker, as this song was quicker then his last, a little harder on his weaker lungs. His voice higher for these lyrics then the last, but no strain on his voice. Clear.

Would you do it with me
Heal the scars and change the stars
Would you do it for me
Turn loose the heaven within

I'd take you away
Castaway on a lonely day
Bosom for a teary cheek
My song can but borrow your grace

His eyes stayed closed as he sang, words in song meaning so much to him.  Who knew why and what they really meant to him but he knew the words as if this song he had found or made himself, known for quite sometime.

Come out, come out wherever you are
So lost in your sea
Give in, give in for my touch
For my taste for my lust

Your beauty cascaded on me
In this white night fantasy

All I ever craved were the two dreams I shared with you.
One I now have, will the other one ever dream remain.
For yours I truly wish to be.

Wrapping up at last he took in a deep beath, shaky to his lips and into his lungs. The emotion in the last song had been of a darkness he tried to fight against, a pain known all to well.
This was a yearning.
A yearning for something that could not be.

(Lyrics - EverDream (Nightwish)

Silence reigned as Roxas watched Nathan ponder over what he had just said. The mere thought returning to Nothingness always brought a shudder of fear running through his non-existent being. He watched as the boy's expression changed to a wistful, then slightly confused one. Roxas smiled, remembering that Nathan hadn't a clue as to what a 'camera' was. He made a mental note to show the kid about the joys of video cameras and blackmail.

"Really, really." He replied with a cheesy grin. "He showed the damn thing to everyone."

Roxas then frowned. It seemed like the 'use and abuse' cycle plagued the poor guy's family. He briefly wondered what kind of world Nathan was born into. Whatever it was, it certainly was a harsh one. He continued to listen in awe, as Nathan explained his birthday.
"Wow, your family must be quite musical, if you seem to be the bottom line." He meant it as a compliment, not a curse.

The blond copied his friend and sat back down, his ears focused on the melody he was being serenaded with. It certainly was a beautiful tune. Sweetly sung, words flowing like a river around him, letting him float on air. Roxas was sad to hear the end of the song.

"I'm positive that you will catch up with your sister one day." He said, smile hiding the tears of beauty. Roxas hated showing emotion, and Nathan singing brought him to the point of crying. He fought the drops and won. He sighed.
"That was magnificent." He got up, the sudden urge to share consuming the blond. "May I?" And he began to sing, a soft, almost forgotten melody, Demyx's song from the bygone times.

"We met that night, when the sea ran high.
And I craved for more of that nearlove experience.
Those who the music hath then joined together, are now put asunder...."

It started off soft, slowly. Roxa fought to keep it in pitch.

"Remember me, when I lit the fire.
To keep us warm.
On a cold winter morning. Now I pass through the moment.
Can I still recognize a beautiful melody...

I play a note, but hear no sound. Have I lost my love or the wings I found.
When I was young...
...and eager to please anyone who had time..."

His voice picked up with fervor, lost in the music of his past. He was up and pacing, unknowingly, of course, to the beat of the melody in his mind.

"Needed to sing, the very notes I heard.
Had to stay in the shadows and seek for the loneliness.
Nevertheless, the price was higher than I had realized.
I was to live alone, ready to make the sacrifice.
Was I in love with you...

My old heart, little harder again. Once the light goes out, everything ends.
It is time...ready to cause a scene, ready to make the sacrifice.
Ready to play the note, ready to end the final show.
The only thing I know.

The pain is here. To stay I fear. In my eyes. I can change one note and make you cry.
In this state of mind. Silence is a crime.

How can life be so feigned and cold. I've answered the call of every melody, lovingly.
Did I find the answers to all my questions.

Or a gravenimage of me..."

Finally, he slowed back down to the beginning tempo, still wrapped up in himself.

"If I found the hidden fountain. Drank the wisdom from it's deep.
Would I have the time to save me. Would I have them both to keep."

Roxas smiled sheepishly at his friend, suddenly embarrassed by his compulsive singing.
"I know I'm not the best singer in the world... but, what did you think?"

The words were taken as a compliment, and the soft smile showed that they had been recievd as such. He knew no instrument as he was only ten when they had died but he had wanted to learn, the sounds they made playing toghter, his parents so beautiful. A perfect duet.
Nathan blushed gently looking down at yet another compliment, so many! In such little time!
"Th-thank you, th-that would be amazing if I did c-catch up to h-her in voice, I-I mean."

It appeared only when he sang did he not stutter, though as well when he spoke in his tongue he did not either but never spoke Sere'th before others that were not that culture, not of his world.

"O-oh!" Nathan nodded vigorously to the other singing, he would love to hear one inreturn when he had sang to. It would further his trust with this strangely kind young man.

Nathans eyes fell closed as he listened taken in by the imagery of the song, pitch off or not the boy hardly cared, he listened for the words. For the emotion, fever and feeling behind each word, it's personal meaning to the one who sang it. Icy blues opening to watch the other pace as he sang now, watching and listening to the very end.
"I-It w-was beautiful Roxas," a soft giggle as his voice broke and his cheeks heated up once more. No tears, he would look like a weak pansy if he cried because of a beautiful song. Though really he was a weak pansy...
"It i-is sad, m-many sad things a-are infinitely b-beautiful, f-far more beautiful th-then joys."

(Crapness sorry..)

Roxas blushed crimson as he graciously took the other's kind compliments.
"Thanks, Nath." He noted the same blush he had was coated on his friend's face as well and smiled, nodding his head at the next statement.
"Yeah, I guess it's the awe of the feeling. Sadness can be a very strong emotion at times." And he once again wandered off into his own little world. He felt sadness, or at least, disappointment, from time to time, especially when he came onto a different planet, only to note that Sora wasn't on there, leaving again shortly after wards.

But, he was a Nobody. He shouldn't be able to feel these kinds of things... shouldn't he? Those thoughts soon led to a whole new string of thoughts as he pondered on what Demyx had claimed in the past, and if he was 'whole' right now, or if Sora still had his non-existent heart.

Eventually, his thoughts focused back on the present times and Roxas smiled apologetically.
"Sorry, I have a short attention span sometimes." And he looked at Nathanial, giving him a subconscious once-over, before speaking.

"So...." Now what?

Nathanial was blushing softly and he nodded after the other took his compliment. He still had his knees pulled to his chest with his arms around them and he watched Roxas. Content he was to just watch as the other entered his own little world. Nathan began to hum gently to himself as Roxas thought about hearts and emotions. The humming eventually became soft words for a time. A short time, but enough to sing these softly.

Some deny and search for things that never come around
Do I feel like a fool?
The places I have ran to all my life have disappeared
And I owe this all to you

I'm feeling like I'm sinking
And nothing's there to catch me, keep me breathing

What do I have to do?
Why can't this hurt be through?
I'm going head unto
Something I know I will fail

(Korn Kiss)

Roxas finally speaking up again on his short attention span the boy shrugged and giggled lightly, "That's o-okey. I don't mind, I am u-used to silence. To j-just my own company, n-not that I do not appreciate yours." He was quick to speak up.

Licking his chapped lips he looked beyond to the sunset again that seemed a constant on this world.
"So y-you are not from th-this world originally..but you know this place? You've li-lived here before?"
And another moment of silence as his brow furrowed.
"How..d-do you travel?"

A smile graced Roxas's boyish features briefly.
"Even so, I should really be talking to you." He slid to the ground, a few scant inches away from Nathan. Crossing his legs, he placed his hands in his lap, pondering Nath's next question. He hummed tunelessly, twisting his finger around each other in thought, before looking up and replying.

"I think I'm from this world. But later on, I was placed into a fake version of this world, after I had run away from my friends. I lived there for about a year I think, before breaking through what kept me there and running to real world, where I met my Somebody and made us whole again."

It suddenly occurred to the blond that his friend may not have understand most of what he just said. But Nath was often quick to tell, at least, as far as Roxas knew. A grin plastered onto his face.
"Wanna see?" Roxas got up and brushed himself off, before moving a little ways away from his friend.

Holding his right arm out in front of him, he closed his hand into a fist, before flexing his fingers. A black swirling mass suddenly appeared, as if ripping open a hole in the air. The Darkness coiled around the opening like misty snakes.
"This is how I travel. It's called a Portal and it leads to the Corridors of Darkness. From there, you can go almost anywhere, if you know how." And the portal shut when Roxas dropped his hand.

Nathan's own smile grew a little at Roxas's, "Thank you," he softly mumured, more so for to himself. Thank you for wanting to talk.
The boy did not understand as Roxas suspected he would not and his head slide to the side, laying against his left shoulder looking to Roxas a moment with pursed lips as he thought.
"Te-Technology then l-like those l-lights and the moving..wh-what was it c-called..train?"

The boy came from a world of near no technology, where the only way to travel was Mage's teleportation spells or horses. Weeks travel to cross the country. Illiteracy was rampent still, and the very beginnings of gunpowder was being discovered.

But the next word that had him blinking was 'Somebody'. He thought..swore..he knew...Wasn't their...No. But that girl in the Elven woods, Nana'es'qa, she was a person without a heart. Only a body, what were they called again? Somebody was a whole person wasn't it? His thoughts were scattered in his dismay a moment as he contemplated that his new friend may not be whole. It was not something that entirely frightened him which it most likely should have. His step father was a Heartless General. He had seen to much in his life to be frightened by the unknown.
"A-Are you s-still whole Roxas?"
The boy asked with a clarity that spoke he knew what he was talking about.

A nod of his head at the other when asked if he wished to see and he watched silently. He could feel the darkness as it coiled around the others hand and out forming the portal the boy knew to well.
"A-and they are v-very easy to get lose in i-if your heart is weak."
Nathanial knew the portals.

He slowly untangled and forced himself to stand, leaning on his right side heavily to allow his left hip a break from holding his weight. His pale long fingered hand with it's ending in black claws was pushed forward and the same tendrils of darkness fell off his fingers, the boys eyes were steady where he was making the portal. They did not move, but around the edges of his icy blue eyes their was red mist. His other hand at his side was clenched tightly.
The portal appearing he took in a deep breath it seeming to ask much more strength of him someone still whole, though the boy thought barely so, to call the portal then Roxas who had been able to sense he had been a nobody.

Calling the darkness back into his hand the tendrils returned back into his pale skin and a shudder ran over the boys body before the Portal finally dissapeared.
