(After Wilting Rose biggrin)

Halloween Town seemed like an interesting place to stop simply by looking at it from above.  Reno was glad his Gummi didn't decide to go bonkers again, in fact taking to talking to it soothingly...just in case.  Luckly there was no one else on board to observe his weird behaviour but he wouldn't have cared anyway.  It wasn't in his nature to bother about what people thought about him.  So Reno had a nice warm trip after tweaking a few parts and did a couple of simple yet useful things to the software to get it running more efficiently than ever.  Once he stopped somewhere....normal, he'd work on getting a emergency heating and the like.  It would be plain awful if his Gummi randomly stopped in the middle of space.

Perhaps he could get a new one.  One less bright and obnoxious.  Thinking about it made Reno's eye twitch.

Although it was dark here, shadows shifting and lurking at ever nook and cranny with lives of their own, it exuded a different atmosphere from Traverse Town.  It held little sinister qualities but Reno could tell it tried.  It was more like a land for children's nightmarish ghost stories than the horrifying dead.  There was a grave yard with over large grave stones - tall grey and uniform.  They were wobbly too, their lack of sturdiness distrubing and since he had no desire to be squashed flat, Reno stayed well away from there.

There didn't seem to be anyone....living.  Reno was a little edgy about being the only one seemingly with a pulse and a blood flow.  Were there vampires here?  They may belong to ghost stories, myths and fantasy but this world was full of talking and moving skeletons and ghosts so why not?  It could hardly make the world more insane than it was already.

Reno walked about content to just observe for now.  Interacting with them may not be such a good idea but they payed him no attention....for now.  For they may just be far too busy with...deathly activities to bother with a stray alive fresh creature knocking on their door.  There was still time for that.  Plenty of time.

Nero wore his hood over his fire red hair as he explored this new world. It was dark and gloomy, Nero wanted to light a fire and spread some more light in this world but he could not draw attention to himself. After leaving Hollow bastion Flare had taken them here to the gloomy world of halloween town. Here skeletons and ghosts walked past Nero along with vampires and werewolves, the things of nightmares passed him by. and Witches flew in the full moon sky. Nero's green eyes observed all this and more as he passed through the stone street, his boots making a small clicking noise as they touched the stone with each step.

From behind Nero's eyes Flare observed the world, taking in details and marks he created almost a map of the world in his head that would serve him and Nero greatly when it came to further navigation of this world. Since Hollow bastion Flare had let himself relax ever so slightly which was making life easier for both himself and Nero. He was still on high alert but he wasn't so jumpy and harsh.

Nero stopped suddenly and closed his eyes touching a stone well, Flare was flooded with images zooming past him until they suddenly stopped. He was left with an image of Two boys leaning against the well, one with short spiky red hair with a black scalp and another with long Black hair. The two seemed content before putting their hoods up and moving on.
"Flare we've found them," Nero's voice was full of excitement.

Unable to contain his new found joy Nero raced off in the direction his brothers had left in. Seltex had left them a sign and Nero wasn't going to waste time standing around. The sooner he followed the more likely it was that he would find his wayward brothers. Nero raced through the streets of Halloween town not even looking where he was going. He raced down the street following his new found trail.

Reno caught his reflection. His clothes weren't tight but they were certainly form fitting revealing his slim but toned build. He shifted in them, testing flexibility. Nodding he deemed them fine and was most certainly happy with his...outfit. It was the only thing he could call it since the last time he checked he was definately wearing his suit. He did have other clothes he had acquired along the way but it was just such it reminded him of Rude and the others so he was reluctant to change. He had even got a couple of suits - way, way cooler though. But now Reno could leave the haphazard, unkepmt look behind for something he found much cooler. The trousers clung to his hips legs wrapped in straps and belts. A chain or two hung from his hips, little razors adorning the length. His jacket now an unzipped hoodie loose and baggy just how he liked it. His shirt black spider webs - literally - clinging to it. In fact they were clinging to him all over...what was this?! On his hands were fingerless gloves, black and ripped. The scars under his eyes ripped open and bleeding like they had been when they were fresh. Naturally it made his cheeks a little swollen around the wounds. Reno's hair was sleek, black with red stripes, his once goggles now an odd mask which wasn't being particularly helpful at all. He blew at his hair in annoyance. Tongue ran over pointed inscisors - but not the top ones. Curiously it was his lower set that were sharp, drawing blood from even his own tongue. What use where they?  Around his neck was a collar in the form of handcuffs.  This most definately was strange.

Reno had only landed out of curiousity and it was benig satisfied to a certain extent.  Of course, no one was talking to him, which was perfectly fine....it was just a little too quiet for his liking.  And Reno hated silence.  It held all the qualities of a cemetery in the dead of night to a terrified three year old who had been sheltered and protected fiercly be his parents yet decided to wander off in small rebellion but resulted in getting very lost, very quickly.  It wasn't the atmosphere that got Reno, and he wasn't even afraid.  He just truly loathed silence.

So he started to hum.  He started to hum and pretend he didn't feel the presence of another, the presence of another creeping towards him.  Reno thanked his years of Turk deviousness for this guy was good.  Very.  Blended in nicely, didn't make a sound but that didn't stop the hairs on the back of his neck going up or that warning thrill or adrenalin pump through his veins.  He lived for this sort of thing.  His life built around danger and thrills...and a lotta booze and a lot of sex. Reno might not look it, he might pretend he didn't get it or wasn't aware of exactly what you were doing but Reno paid must more attention to the details than he were allowed to be known.  For to be unaware was to be dead.  To be caught of guard was to be a failure, captured, tortured, dead.  It was the details that counted.  Even the minute and seemingly insignificant ones.  It was like riding a bike.

Out of sheer curiousity Reno allows the presence to edge ever closer.  His knowledge of the presence didn't mean that it wouldn't get the better of him, that it wouldn't give him pause for thought, or managed to get a hit in, whatever.  But he knew it was there and that was the first step in defending himself.

The last time Riku had come to Halloween Town it had been through the intervention of a rather special set of cards so it was hardly a surprise that the real fact of the town proved to be subtly different than what he had experienced. The similarities were there in the darkness and in the shadows lingering under the endless night sky as well as in the sparse collection of inhabitants seemingly drawn from the worst of any child's dreams, but it was the differences in the scape which drew him in and invited him to explore - not that mere exploration was at the heart of the reason for Riku's impromptu visit; no, he was here with the intention of finding Sora - or, should that prove impossible, with the hope of finding some news of the absent Keyblade Master.

'Doesn't seem like the sort of place
Sora'd be', Riku mused as he paused beside the crumbling remains of what had once obviously been an impressive fountain. Leaning over what remained of the ledge, he scowled a bit at the green goo - it was too thick, too foul to even consider water - but his scowl changed to an expression of surprise once he was able to catch a hint of reflection on the greasy surface of the liquid.

It was true that he had experienced the disguising effect of
interworld travel on his first visit to Halloween Town but that time it had meant little more than a darkening of his costume and skin. Apparently, things had changed quite a bit between that time and this - or maybe it was just that he had changed so much between times - or his new disguise was something....different. Very different.

The first difference to catch his attention was a set of short, red horns poking from amongst the unruly tangle of his silvery hair, but his attention soon drifted to swift impressions: skin
sooted to no longer seem so outstandingly pale, clothes badly tattered and seemingly a size or so too small, assorted belts and buckles in red and black, lengthened canines, a leathery long and forked tail, and a very skeletal set of wings perched on his back. All in all, a surprising change but better than it could have been; briefly, Riku had found the worry that whatever caused this change to happen would force him to take one of the darker forms from his past - and he wasn't entirely sure such would be anything nearing a comfort.

'It could be worse,'
Riku reminded himself as he turned his attention back to the area surrounding the fountain. 'Though it'll make finding Sora a pain; I don't even know what he'd be changed into.'

There was an answer for that, though,
Riku supposed - find anyone who looked as if they might be human and work from there. Of course, this was working with the assumption that it was possible to tell outsider humans from the residents of Halloween Town, but it was currently the best chance Riku had of making a start on his mission. Now, all he had to do was wait....

Fortunately, he was not waiting very long before a humming redhead who could pass for a once-human strolled past and then, only a short while later, another passed in the form of a dark-haired
ragdoll. Curious as to where these two could be heading - and also as to why the ragdoll seemed to be trailing the other purposely - Riku eased into the chase. He did give himself a comfortable distance from either of the other two and, quite used to doing so by now, he hugged and lingered in the shadows as if it were second nature to him.

Nero stopped and closed his eyes again, as he let his senses scan the area he found a familiar presence...it wasn't his brothers.....who could it be?
Nero opened his eyes and followed this new trail. He moved swiftly and found himself following a silver haired boy, in turn this boy was following a black haired one and finally this black haired one was following a red head. A red head Nero knew.

Without wasting a moment Nero sped up and passed the two boys and came up alongside Reno, "Fancy meeting you again" He said politely. Nero and Flare had left Radiant Gardens the day after they had met Reno and it was a suprise to run into the same red head again here. Nero spoke in a quieter voice, "You are been followed by two kids..."

Reno rolled his eyes. "So Silver Slinky joined Shadow Play? How touching," Reno said shaking his head at his luck of being tailed by not one but two guys. He didn't thank Nero. He found him overly apologetic, irritating, goody goody, panicked under slightest of pressures, a people pleasers, overy apologetic...need he go on?

Now he wasn't really aware during Leon's and Nero's conversation but he had catched parts of it and knew there was something sincerely weird about the kid and perhaps it wasn't a split personality after all but something much, much bigger.

How could he use that?

Could he bluff the kid? He was skittery, jittery but naive. That much was clear. He tried to face down someone exactly like Strife, shrewd, skeptical and EMO. Why were the good guys either happy happy or emo emo? Reno found his thoughts turning to Valentine for a moment before deciding, no, he couldn't really count him since he was an Ex-Turk - the one and only....well veteran (he didn't count themsevles since it was only technicality. They still worked, lived and breathed for ShinRa they were just termed bodyguards now) - and had been killed/experimented upon by Hojo and no one could possibly be upbeat after that. And how could anyone be smiling after sleeping in a frickin' coffin for thirty years punishing themsevles. Reno bet he was feeling it now. Vampy must suffer from hell of a cramp. If he had been a Turk and a good one at that....where on Gaia did his morals come from? Must have been one of those that suppressed them for the good of the job and loyalty to the company. Only Turks were loyal to Turks first and then ShinRa but they kept that quiet. There was no need for the big wigs to get hold of that little tidbit. Just what went on in that guy's head? Must be like a war zone in there. Reno shook his head as his thoughts sidelined. Nero and Vincent were nothing a like and comparing this little squirt to someone as tough and enigmatic as Vincent was insulting. He felt put out for Vincey boy.

"So what are you doing here? Doesn't seem a place someone like you would hang out," Reno stated bluntly. He wasn't in the mood for charms and grace and all that rubbish. He had two strangers following him for no apparant reason and an annoying, OK but definately not good enough fibber before him telling him what he already knew. "Credit to ya being helpful yo," He commented.

How long would it be before they approached? Reno became more and more aware of his EMR as if it was calling to him, reaching out and alluring. It was speaking to him to use it, to cause pain and suffering, to electrocute. Someone had to sizzle, jerk and squeak before the day was up if he didn't get answers soon. He thanked whatever God out there that he had decided to keep his gun on him at all times now, not knownig what little nasty was gonna pop up on him an decide to eat him for lunch. Perhaps it was a habit of theirs, a weird quirky pasttime to follow strangers and drive them batty. Or they could be elaborate pranksters but pranks were only fun if they were played on other people and not him. Perhaps Reno should get in there first?

Pranksters in Halloween Town, the land of ghouls, ghosts and the undead. It made sense. Scary, terrifying pranks to shock him into a heart attack would be a good and entertaining way to obtain fresh meet. Or they could be alive, just like him. Alive and curious? Alive and evil? Dead and curious/evil? They options were endless. Ach it was too silent. Reno hummed a different melody while waiting for Nero to reply.

It was around the time that the second redhead hurried past that Riku began to feel overwhelmingly foolish. True, sticking to the shadows and listening from a distance had served him well in the past but, in this place and at this time, it was only marking him as someone of whom to be suspicious - and this world seemed to have more than its share of suspicious people without him. Besides, none of the two - now three - whom he had been following seemed to be up to anything too nefarious and acting as if they were would likely get him nowhere fast; a flies and honey sort of situation, he supposed, even if Sora always did seem to be quite a bit better at that.

'Guess this'll give me a chance to practice,' Riku mused silently. Absently and quite unaware of the habit, he began to chew idly at his lower lip, but this tic came to an upbrupt stop as soon as he remembered the fangs newly gifted to him by this strange new world.
'Could have been a painful mistake, though walking around with blood on my face'd probably just help me fit in all the better.'

A wry grin touched his features at this thought, but the amusement was brief; it was clear that Riku would have to approach one of the other stalkers if he was to get anywhere, but he was all too aware of what might come of things should he suddenly start asking a multitude of questions about a missing keyblade user - if these strangers even knew what that meant.

A quick shake of his head cleared his thoughts and Riku prepared himself to catch up with the others - but such an act proved unnecessary when the ragdoll fell into step at his side. For a brief moment, Riku allowed surprise to register in his expression, but this soon melted back into his usual calm neutrality. "I'm Riku," he answered almost tonelessly, nodding his head in acknowledgement of the offered name. "You're not from around here?" Direct - maybe too direct - but it was also just a careful statement of the obvious.

Nero couldn't help it he had to laugh at Reno's blunt question, then suddenly his eyes flashed, "I am a master of disguise, do not take my apperance and attitude lightly," Nero's voice was darker now, this was the voice of the seemingly fearless Nero of the Falcars the king's personal body gaurd. Nero led the seven Falcar warriors with a fearless personality and a firm hand. Many had made the mistake of seeing him as a nervous leader with no real power but over the years Nero had grown and after Flare had left his body Nero learnt to take care of himself, though it was nice to have his other half back. Flare was just as physicaly strong as Nero but his amazing mental calculations in battle were unmatchable. Flare was a fierce fighter and wasn't scared to play dirty like Nero was at times.

As Nero let out more strength Flare was drawn to the surface of his mind and body. It could have easily been missed but for a moment it appeared as if Nero's hair had gone black but his hood hid most of that. Flare had not taken control, but he had come to the surface and it wouldn't have been hard for him to take control after that.

Nero liked Reno, the red head made him curious and it took all of Nero's restraint not to touch him and get into his head and see how his mind worked.
"Nero, I am sure if you suck up he'll let you into his head." Flare was not a good judge of character, he was a better judge of battle action. If he were to face Reno in a fight he would be able to predict his every move with ease, there was always a pattern.
"Not this one....he is diffrent Flare. I have to get into his head,I need to see how he works, I can't read him as easily as I usually can." Nero hated it when he couldn't judge character. He already had a bit on Reno but the red head was hard to read.

Nero flexed his hand, he was as ready to fight as Reno was, he would not be caught off his gaurd.
"I am ready if you need me Nero." Flare said, he was hungry for a fight.
"Peace Flare, I don't plan on this leading to a fight."

It had taken a lot of effort for Reno not to physically slap himself on the forehead at Nero's statement despite it having him grinning. You don't tell people you are a master of disguise! You just don't do it. It's like wearing a target sign on the middle of your back and thinking no ones actually gonna aim at you! why did this kid tell him? It was irritating the hell out of Reno too. OK Nero could act a bit. Perhaps he could act quite well but lying wasn't his forte and he told the truth rather flatly too.

Soo much to learn yo.

So Reno decided to do what he did best and completely disregard the other redhead's statement - despite taking in seriously - and clapped in on the shoulder. "Awww Baby's all grown up!" He sniffed like a proud parent grinning all the while and watched lazily for anything odd. Mind you with this much stuff going on he could miss it and it could be fairly obvious too. Perhaps if he annoyed Nero enough he'd either go away or inadvertantly reveal his secret clearly, like himself, he was something he wasn't.

Reno unlike the others he was sure, could see perfectly fine in the dark streets of Halloween Town. It was times like these that the occasional migraine was worth it because it gave him a much needed edge. He stared at Nero's clenched first for a moment before blinking and giving an air of stupidity. "Eh? Got cramp or something? Lighten up yo, and enjoy the ....scenery," He said snickering. There wasn't much to see.

Scenery. Well if you could call some puddles, wonky houses and graveyards scenery...then yeah, there was a great landscape out there and he couldn't wait to see more?

Reno rolled his eyes at the two coming towards them. For good measure the Ex-Turk gave them a little wave, although it seemed friendly with the grin on his face, to himself it was entirely mocking.

It was just as well that Jadek took it upon himself to act as the cheerful one; Riku wasn't entirely sure that he had it within himself to try to muster up enough cheer to really make it believable and he wasn't really all that eager to give it a try. Cheerfulness had, after all, really been more of Sora's sort of thing - and he was happy enough to leave it to those who did it well.

"Traverse Town? I hear that's an interesting place," Not that Riku would really know as he had only made a few very short stops there, but it seemed interesting enough from what he had seen. "I'm not from around here, either, but this town is pretty...unique." It was pretty far from a ringing endorsement, true, but Riku hadn't yet seen enough of the world to truly get a feel for it. Besides, it was hard to really focus on surroundings when there was so much tension gathered in one place.

"Those two? They look like they're gonna fight," Riku guessed as he turned his attention to the two redheads. It was only an educated guess, based mostly on how the two were facing each other, but the energy between them spoke pretty clearly of a fight waiting to break out. Of course, this wasn't Riku's fight - he had no real reason to be bothered if the two wanted to beat each other bloody for whatever reason - but he wasn't sure that he could just turn and walk away should something happen, especially if it should threaten to involve persons who had no part of it.

Riku answered the small wave from Reno with a pointy-toothed grin - a gesture meant to seem friendly, but perhaps seeming a bit more aggressive due to the disguise given to him by this strange town.

Nero smirked as Reno waved at the other two, “Making friends?” Nero relaxed and shook his head at Reno, “If you want me to leave you be I will, but really….do you want to be left alone to fight against these guys if they attack?” Nero already had a pretty good idea that the two stalkers weren’t about to attack Reno anytime soon, but still.

Nero snapped his flint rings together creating a small flame in his right palm like he had done back in Radiant Garden, “I can be of use…” Nero wasn’t about to say it but he really wanted a companion other then Flare even for a short while. It was hard sharing his body with the impulsive black haired man. Maybe, just maybe he could hang with Reno just for a little while.

Reno shook his head speaking but not moving his lips much at all. "Oh not really. They were coming over here anyway so might as wells bite the bullet for now, yo," Like he would want to talk to his stalkers! Well actually yes, he would, to find out why the hell in the first place did they feel the need to follow him in a ghost town of all places. That was quite handy really. He would have noticed Riku in a busy place but Jadek... maybe not. It was a good lesson to keep his senses sharpened. Reno had been a little lax of late.

"They aren't going to attack. Stalkers don't follow you for two minutes then decide to walk up blatantly and knock your block off," Reno muttered. Of course, what if that were true and he'd have to eat his words, and he hated it when that happened.

Reno looked at Nero. "If that's your way of asking if you can stay then sure. You ain't that irritating, yo," And that was Reno saying he was intruiged by him, curious even. Nero projected innocence and naivety but then shot that to hell by telling him not to be fooled. Wasn't the whole idea to be fooled? If Nero blew like that everytime someone gave him a little but of shtick then it was a wonder he was still able to run from whatever it was he was running from. Nero had something important to hide; no doubt about that.

Riku startled rather badly when Jadek chose to take him by the arm and his distaste at being handled so was evident in the stiffening in all the muscles of his body. His first, instinctual reaction to this unwelcome handling would have been to shove Jadek aside, but he fought this particular need down - instead, he simply allowed a small grimace and let himself be led forward. Not that he was entirely behind whatever plan Jadek had in mind, but it had to be better than simply hanging back and watching from a distance.

He nodded to acknowledge Jadek's words - that he understood them and, for the moment, that he would play along - but he made no immediate move to join the ragdoll when he ran forward to stage his attack on the once-hooded stranger. Instead, Riku hung back a half dozen steps and, an eyebrow arched, he merely watched Jadek's improvisation. It struck him, as he watched, that he still wasn't sure of what his own reaction would be should all of this come down to a fight. He had just agreed - by action, if not by words - that he would watch Jadek's back, but the sides were not very clearly drawn. Then again, there was a good chance that fighting would not be necessary, since there was no obvious conflict between either of the groups.

"Sorry about him," Riku called, moving to close the distance between himself and the other three. His expression was a cautious neutral as he gestured toward Jadek. "He tends to get over-excited around people with red hair."

((OOC: Please remember Italics mean you can’t hear Flare and Nero))

Nero had no control over his reaction, the moment this stranger was on his back his instincts kicked in and his instincts were lethal.
Flare took over his body and snapped his flint rings setting their body alight, he spun around throwing his attacker away and sending a fire ball after him. Flare was about to go further but Nero stopped him.
“Rest Flare, don’t kill him.” Nero spoke gently.
“…How about permanently scar him?”
Nero laughed, “Sounds fun but no.”

Flare straightened up and the fire extinguished, He glared at Jadek, “Let that be a lesson to you.” Flare closed his eyes and Nero took over his hair returning to it’s natural red.
Nero turned to Riku and smiled, “Well I think he was just cured of that obsession.”

Reno grinned looking at Nero in an admirable fashion. "That was so cool," He said wishing he could have done that himself because Jadek was simply irritating the hell out of him. It wasn't lost on him that Nero's hair changed colour along with his tone. So when they were talking about two people...he was talking about himself? What? Two people in the one body was unusual but then again Vincent was stuck with Chaos....OK headache material. Reno circled Nero curiously before shrugging. "I don't care," He said but his look said that he better explain later, fire tendencies or no! Besides, they had discussed this when he was in and out of it and that was just rude yo!

Rude....

Reno shook his head. "Dude, have you ever stalked before?" He asked of Jadek ignoring his plight. To anyone his actions made no sense and it irritated Reno that he would stalk someone, tail them all this way then glomp them. Did he really not expect to be attacked? "Have you got a Death Wish yo? Ya like pain?"

He turned again to Nero. "You're sharp. Cool," Mental note not to sneak up on the fire ball as it would end badly.

Reno turned to Riku. "And that's relevant because?" He asked with an indignant tone. That was near attacking that was! "I like to annoy the hell out of people who resemble Chocobs but you don't see me glomping Emo Boy do you?" Reno rolled his eyes. He was more likely to get skewered for attempting that on Cloud. Guy could be too touchy at times. Or was that just towards him? Hmmm...

Reno got out a couple of ball bearings. He had found them a month ago and pondering for fifteen minutes as to why he would have them in his pocket before deciding it had to have something to do with a prank and shrugging. He tossed a couple at Jadek. "Here's your marbles! I think you lost some, zo to," He laughed.

"Have you even met him before now?" Reno asked Riku skeptically. Riku seemed like a sensible guy, besides the sudden stalking issue which still had him ticked.

It was something pretty bizarre but, in retrospect, Riku probably should have been expecting it; this was Halloween Town, after all, and Halloween Town was fairly well known for its tricks around ever corner. Still, he couldn't help but blink in open surprise at the empty air where Jadek had been standing only seconds ago and he even reached out, as if thinking that the ragdoll had merely turned invisible somehow. His hand touched nothing but air and Riku just shook his head.

"That was weird," he muttered to himself. The thought that the disappearance of Jadek had been caused by the more volatile redhead's attack surfaced briefly in the midst of his confusion, but Riku just shook his head; it would have taken more than that to completely destroy the guy and it didn't seem as if he had been attacking with intent to kill.

'Just another trick of the shadows, I guess,' was his ultimate conclusion. Riku shrugged mentally, placing the incident firmly in his already bulging mental file on weird, unexplained things. There was a touch of regret that the boy had proven to be little more than a trick of a bizarre world, but Riku was willing to let it go in order to move onto other topics.

"You're pretty good," he offered, turning his attention to the one who had just thrown the fiery attacks. A touch of caution suddenly became more obvious in his bearing as he addressed Nero, but there was a grudging admiration, as well. "Not many people can do that sort of thing so easily."

"Can't say that I've ever seen you glomp anyone," Riku allowed as he moved his attention to the other redhead. A faint smirk touched his expression as he tipped his head almost curiously. "Though the thought is pretty disturbing. I can't imagine it working for you, really."

"Never met the kid before," he confessed, in regards to Jadek. If the ragdoll had stuck around, then maybe Riku would have tried to cover for him, but it was pretty much a moot point by now. "but I guess that doesn't really matter, now."

Nero blushed at the praise, but then gasped as the boy disappeared, he could have mistaken it for one of Flare’s new powers but he knew even Flare an angel sent by Adar could not do such a thing.

“It is nothing to be praised for; it was instincts, survival of the fittest.” Nero said modestly. He was not one to brag about his superior abilities, it was better to keep them quiet and only use them when needed. If he had filtered his energy into Flare he knew there was no chance that Jadek would have survived the attack, but then again Nero wasn’t sure if Jadek was alive or if Flare had accidentally killed him with the attack.
Nero for the first time took note of how the others appeared, having Flare inside him had made him immune to the changes others received while in other worlds, he was always the same.

As the boy who turned up with Jadek called out Nero took note of the newest guest to arrive.

((sorry its short))

Reno stared at where Jadek should have been trying to make up his mind at whether the irritating kid had done that or this world simply didn't like him. Reno didn't really care so he didn't dwell on it for longer than twenty seconds. Tseng had often said his attention span was that of a small child being told the mechanics of right and wrong and why exactly they couldn't have that cookie that was just out of reach.

Reno grinned at Nero and tapped a cheek. "Don't get used to it," he warned. Reno wasn't one for praises. In fact you were more likely to make him envious.

Reno pouted frowning at Riku, hands on hips. Then he changed to smirking and creeping towards him. "I'd be careful, if I were you," It sounded like an ominous threat but Reno was referring to the glomping. If Riku found it so horrible to think of he'd just have to do it to him at some point if he irritated him. Riku had made a judgement as normal people do, mostly within the first few seconds of meeting someone. Reno however liked to keep things hidden, tucked away for that special occasion and spring it on an unsuspecting victim! It brought him joy.

Reno raised an eyebrow. "And you were defending him? He was slightly cracked yo!" Reno had based this on the fact he was stalking him - extremely well - but then just dropped that as if it was a novelty toy and proceeding to glomp Nero who seconds before was threatening him to 'be aware'. He just couldn't get away with that. What was it with these people and not following the rules? Yes rules were made to be broken but not these ones! You don't just saunter up to your kidnapper and say 'I love you, let me go?' and walk away after giving them a big fat hug or offer the person holding you hostage tea! It just wasn't right.

Reno turned to Nero. "If it makes you feel better, I prefer you to the glomping ragdoll," he said nothing to Riku. Truthfully he wasn't sure if he liked Nero all that much since he found him annoying and he had yet to decide with Riku. He did give the impression he would fit in with Cloud's lot which was slightly depressing.

"Your instincts are good, sharp." Though his words could easily be taken as further praise, Riku was no longer certain that he meant them to be taken as a light compliment -- not that it was much in his nature to offer compliments freely, anyway. His reticence really wasn't helped by the fact that the one person whom he had begun to trust on this world had suddenly disappeared, either of his own will or because of some other force acting against him. Normally, the loss of a possible ally wouldn't trouble Riku too greatly, but he was uncertain of where he stood in this shadowy world; the very nature of Halloween Town, that of unexpected tricks and shadowy trials, put him a bit on edge and his frazzled nerves really were not helped by having people, if the ragdoll really had been a person, fading without warning or reason.

"I only ever saw moves like that on a fighter," Riku continued. Something about him, his attitude and tone, sought to be near casual, but the usual directness of his nature made it a bit hard to miss the fact that he was fishing for a bit more information. "You must've been training a long time, to be able to throw magic around like that."

Now, on the other hand, there was Reno. It was true that Riku had made an initial flash judgement on the more impulsive redhead, but his opinion was still being formed; he knew, all too well, how stupid it was to underestimate a possible opponent and he wasn't about to be caught off-guard simply because he'd allowed himself to be lulled into thinking that someone like that couldn't possibly pull anything on him. Still, Riku did raise a single, questioning eyebrow at Reno as the redhead took a step toward him and his lips formed into a skeptical, slightly amused smirk.

"I don't think I really have to be that careful; you wouldn't dare that on me," It was a moment of stupid bragging, that much was true, but Riku was having a rather hard time imagining Reno trying to glomp onto him, let alone succeeding at it. "Besides, it looks like you'd much rather cling onto him so I don't see where I'd have anything to worry about from you." Riku paused a moment to think, but he soon recrossed his arms and renewed the smirk which had been at his lips. "You calling someone slightly cracked, though..."

Nero could tell Reno really wasn’t one to give praise so he raised his head and nodded his thanks. The modest and honest Nero really wanted to give Flare the credit, but it was just not possible, giving Flare credit would show him to be different and right now he didn’t want to be considered anymore different.
Nero turned his green eyes to Riku at his praise, it was like been back home again when he and his brothers were clearing away the last of the rebel groups.
“I have been training most of my life, but some of it is just instinct, in my world for a long time it was survival of the fittest. And recently I have been the protector of the royal family and it calls to be constantly alert. At a time my king was getting attempted assassination attempts almost every week.”

Nero felt his control over the body become unstable as Flare came forward in his body. Nero’s hair darkened several shades but he continued to act exactly the same, “That kid, he was asking to be hurt. You should never surprise a Falcar, it is more likely that you will be killed then they will get scared.”

Nero pulled Flare’s black trench coat around him tighter as if it would keep him in control of the body, “Back off Flare,” He mumbled.
Flare withdrew muttering something about Nero been a control freak.
Nero laughed at Reno claiming to like him better then Jadek, “I like you more then I liked him too.” He said with a slightly twisted smirk, “Just don’t get too close, people tend to get a bit burnt if they come at me when I am not expecting it.”

Reno was calculating Nero. Although it was nice to meet someone he had met previously, he was still trying to figure the other man out. He had been about to reply to Riku when Nero started talking, spewing information willy nilly. Wasn't this guy supposed to be hiding something? He wasn't doing a very good job of it since the point was for people to not know you were in fact concealing something. Riku had been looking for information and he had gotten it. Too easy. He didn't ask, he made a suggestion and Nero let him ease some tid bits of info from him. Of course Nero could be lying but...that wasn't consistent to what he had seen already.

Reno raised an eyebrow at the darkening hair. Nero may have acted the same way but the words just didn't gell. Nero was easy and loose but just then, that was harsher, ****y. Never ever be ****y, even if you are holding all the cards.

Reno smirked. "I like playing with fire," He shrugged. Didn't bother him in the slightest. Nero had set an annoying itch on him, an itch to discover! And Reno was going to find out.

The redhead turned his attention back to the silver one and smirked. Daring him really wasn't a good idea because he'd keep trying it until he succeeded. You wouldn't think he'd dare to dye his bosses hair, or glue a wig to Rude's head...and survive...

"Pretty confident about that aren't ya?" Reno asked brightly. "There's a certain etiquette to these things you know. Don't get to make up your own cracked rules because you far to curious to stick your oar in,"

Who would want to be sane anyway? It was much more fun to be cracked.

The subtle changes in Nero were enough to give Riku pause and he found himself reevaluating what little he had already learned of the fiery young man. The change in shade of hair and the mumbling to himself spoke of some manner of instability, but there was no immediate threat to be perceived - if the idea of the ragdoll being obliterated by the fire magic was to be rejected, as Riku assumed. Still, Nero spoke as one who was both a fighter and a protector, so maybe there was no immediate threat to be seen from him - not that Riku would allow himself to relax so easily.

"A royal bodyguard and one of the fittest, if you managed to survive," Riku ****ed his head slightly to the side as he rather openly studied the other man. "It makes sense, if you can fight that easily. It does seem curious, though, that you'd end up in a place like this, all things considered." And now Riku was being perhaps a bit too obvious in his words and in his actions, but he had allowed himself to come to the conclusion that there was nothing of which he should be immediately wary - just as long as he didn't try anything sudden upon the volatile so-called Falcar. "I don't think I ever heard the term 'Falcar' before, though, so maybe it is normal for you?"

Not that there was much normal about the current situation, especially not when Riku seemed to be caught up in the middle of a pissing contest with Reno. It was odd, too, since Riku should have known better; in the past, any time he had dared anyone, especially Sora, he often ended up in an inconvenient situation but his competitive nature - which seemingly hadn't been entirely purged from him by the events of the past - simply wouldn't allow for him to back down.

"Hm? Is there a reason I shouldn't be confident?" He asked almost innocently. He allowed his sea colored eyes to widen in a mock of innocence, but this display was somewhat ruined by the smirk still tugging at his lips. "I can understand that there needs to be rules to this sort of thing, but I don't get why I shouldn't be able to put some up, too; where's the fun if you just go along with what someone else put down?"

Nero flinched when Riku spoke of his survival, part of him would always hate himself for that. He should have stayed with his kin. He knew that in all rights he was doing his duty to both his family and his magesty, after all his brother was the king, but by the same token he had abandoned his distant relatives and fled.
"My survival has nothing to do with my fitness. It was luck that let me live." Nero then kicked the ground, "I am searching for my brothers. This world is the first world I have been to where I have found traces of them. My first duty is to family."

Nero sighed closing his eyes, to those around him it would appeare that he was just mouring the loss of friends but he was really searching for traces of his brother's enegry forces.

Riku....Riku was irritating him. Reno felt his eyes narrow at him in a calculating, kind of glaring manner. A challenge was just what he liked and a challenge was something Riku had just put on the table. He would have to remember before leaving this place to glomp the guy - even if it meant getting butchered afterwards - simply because he was being irritated. Keep things simple. Easier that way. "You look demented,"

Reno rolled his eyes. Why was everyone so sentimental? Then again, Reno didn't do the whole emotional roller coaster thing where you poured your heart out and someone patted you on the back and said 'there there dear, everything will be fine, you'll see' in those pitying tones which you mistake for sympathy. Yuck.

"Both of you, are weird," Reno decided and boldly told them both. What did he care about what they thought anyways? It was sheer luck he ran into Nero right? Or rather Nero came jogging over to warn him about the ragdoll freaky kid who stalked people them glomped them. Good thing Reno liked crazy.

"I understand. The search for someone dear is an important mission," Riku nodded slightly to Nero. If anything, his curiosity was piqued further by the man's words but he knew all too well how sensitive such a subject could often be - especially when it came to survival by little else other than a fluke of luck. The final decision not to pry too deeply into Nero's secrets and his search was quite natural but Riku did feel as if he should at least make a small gesture of aid.

"I'm probably going to be passing through a few different world," he began casually, crossing his arms loosely over his chest. "If you tell me what your brothers look like or any other way I might recognize them, then I'd be willing to keep an eye out - the choice is really your own, though."

Leaving Nero to his apparent grief, Riku turned his attention back to Reno but he simply shrugged in response to the accusation of looking demented; to be honest, he had been called much worse than that in his short life and, to be honest, Reno might be onto something - especially when Riku was attempting to feign innocence. "You aren't exactly normal, yourself. Maybe not exactly demented, but probably not normal, either. Maybe something closer to...deranged?"

Nero closed his eyes for a brief moment, reliving the moment of horror when his brothers dissappeared. He quickly re-opened his eyes to escape the nightmare. Silently he watched Riku and Reno bicker.

"What should I do Flare?"
 "hmm?"
Flare had obviously not been listening.
"I can show him what Lea and Seltex look like, but then...then they'll know I am diffrent."
Flare was quiet, "I can't make that choice for you Nero...it is after all your gift..."

Nero cleared his throat, "Stop it you two. There is no need for enemies in these times," Nero turned his green eyes to Riku, "I can do better then tell you," He swaid softly removing one of his leather gloves from his hand and offering it to Riku, "I have the ability to show you."
It was slightly cruel, but Nero had more in mind then just showing Riku his brothers, while Riku saw the twins, Nero would be seeing into his mind too.

Reno glared at both of them and pouted folding his arms. It wasn't his fault he had the emotional stability of a teenager!

"That was good natured," Reno pointed out. It would have been a lot worse if he had been angry or really irritated by either of them. It was light relief really. It reminded him of all the times he had managed to irritated Choco head when he was in his less emo-fied moments. Gaia the kid needed some fun in his life.

Reno then frowned at Nero after he spoke. Show? How? This was how Nero was different wasn't it? It must have something to do with the fact he kept taking to himself. Although thinking of Vincent that might not neccessarily be himself, so unless he was slightly crazy and and a split personality...oh um personality dissorder rather... Reno found it unlikely since he seemed perfectly sane but then, crazy people often did appear that way.

At any rate Reno had a bad feeling about it and over hte years Reno had learned that his bad feelings were usually correct. It was a shame he didn't listen all the time.

((Yeah, just leave me with the akward stuff of having another person dissappear when I touch them haha))

Nero stumbled back as Riku dissappeared, "What the hell!?" He cried pulling his glove back onto his hand and staring at the empty space in front of him.

'Was it you?' Nero asked Flare, 'Please tell me you did that it would make me feel a lot better!'
'No, it wasn't' Flare sounded confused but calm at the same time. "
'What the hell is going on!' Nero cried mentally.

((Sorry it is so short, it is just akward))

Reno stared wide eyed at where Riku used to be. "That's...just...weird," He managed. He had seen some pretty unusual things when working for Shinra especially when he was trying to talk to Hojo (he was continously blocked which was irritating).

Reno turned his wide suspicious eyes towards Nero and walked around him slowly. "Dude," He stated lost for words for once.

"I know you said people get burned but this I wasnt expecting," Reno stepped back a couple of paces from Nero. "So..."He trailed off looking around. "Gonna tell me about your weird demeanour changes and the flashy pale red hair?"

Nero hated been circled it made him uneasy. He  eyed Reno as he walked around him, "I am sorry that I was born with such flashy hair." He replied smoothly, "As for it changing that is the work of my gaurdian angel Flare, isn't a fan of red hair so he turns it black." Nero shrugged like it wasn't a big deal.

Flare s******ed, 'It is nothing against your hair colour it just draws far too much attention' the spirit explained.
