Flare swollowed thickly, "Maybe... Nero sees a lot, more then I do. Lately I have been... tierd..." Flare couldn't understand it, for the past week all he wanted to do was sleep and that was mostly what he had done, just slept at the back of Nero's mind while the red head took control.
Flare ran straight into someone who grumbled at him in annoyance, but now Flare was stock still as the memories flowed into his brain. Nero quickly blocked them off leaving them in Flare's part of the brain. Flare gripped his head and stumbled over to a wall. He slid down the hard concrete and sat gripping his heads as the man's memories flooded his brain.
Nero meanwhile put Reno's memories aside to work on another time before he allowed Flare to filter these new memories in. "Flare!" Nero growled, "You could have just ruined everything!" "Shut up," Was all Flare said pushing the memories into Nero's mind.
Even after the memories had left him Flare still gripped his head in pain.
Reno frowned at Flare. Flare wasn't Nero. He wasn't arrogant and ****y and invading people's heads. Not like Nero anyway. It appeared to Reno that to Flare it was just a neccessity, a part of his life that he couldn't control, nor wanted but accepted none the less. Flare was more tolerable whereas the other seemed to sort of relish it.
When Flare bumbled into someone he thought nothing of it. Not at first. It wasn't until he froze and began to hold his head in a vice grip that he realised there must be a flooding of information or something.
For some inexplicable reason Reno found himself caring. He wanted to squash that right away.
"Flare?" Reno asked not entirely sure whether that was pointless or not. Carefully he held Flare's arms, where they were covered. Perhaps he just needed to concentrate on something else, otherwise he'd loose himself in the flood?
Flare sat still for a moment as the memories left his concious mind, "I am fine," He muttered pulling away from Reno, "Just wasn't expecting to touch anyone."
Flare sat for a moment with his head bowed on his knees before finally feeling the dizziness go away. He lifted his head and looked around, "When Nero is looking through memories, even if I am in control it opens us up so that any human contact can lead to more memories comming in. Nero blocked me from his mind so that the man I ran into and your memories wouldn't get mixed up... so for a few seconds I had to support that man's memories in my mind.
Flare watched as someone passed pressing an object much like the silver one he had seen earlier to his ear, "What are those things everyone has on their ears?" he asked curiously.
"OK," Reno replied uncertainly. Flare didn't really seem to be coping all that well and he knew how bad headaches could be. Most people were fine with Mako injections but his body didn't really seem to like them all that much, so his head pounded sometimes, especially if he was injured and the Mako sped up the healing process. Head injuries were killers.
Mind reading seemed to be a complicated burden that Reno was thankful he didn't possess. He also found it particularly terrifying that he could know what was going on in Yuffie's head. Some things were just better left alone.
"Phones. Uh a communication device using radiowaves," Reno replied. "We've had them for years. Of course the technology has improved over time, but really not so long ago they were the size of bricks. Not handy at all really and it needed a really big batter with miniscule life but now they are tiny little things, batteries last a week or so and they can call practically anyway in the world. Completely useless if there isn't a signal though,"
"Thre are differnent styles and makes and different gadgets. Includes Cameras, Bluetooth, Infra-red, texting, internet etc," Reno said. "Handy things to have around,"
Flare raised an eye brow, "Blue tooth? cameras?" It all seemed to strange and what the hell were radiowaves?
It was Flare's turn to be curious, all these things intrigued him and he wanted to know more. "How does it all work?" He asked standing back up and pulling his gloves securly onto his hands and lifting the collar of his coat just making himself look even more suspicious then he already was.
"Subtle" Nero muttered.
Flare ignored Nero and began to walk again watching the people and realsing many carried all diffrent kinds of strange devices, "What is a rocket man?" He asked. One of the few personality traits Nero and Flare shared was their curiosity and now Flare's had really been stirred and he had to learn more about this strange world and it's people and devices.
Reno blinked. Nobody really asks these questions. It is what it is. Flare was suddenly very curious about everything it seemed.
"Well Blue tooth is like...using different waves to transmit, information and a camera," Reno pulled out his own phone and took a picture of Flare to show him. "It's like...a snapshot of what you see that can be viewed again later. it's something to do with capacitors and gates," Elena had once tried to explain it to him but he hadn't been paying that much attention to her. Before that she had been trying to lecture him on conduct.
"Well the flash works because the capacitor stores the energy and then releases it all at once. Laney talks a lot. Sometimes she is impossed to ignore. She had been starting to screech by that point,"
"It...it was a joke. Rocket man is actually Cid...never mind...well you aren't from around here...I could have just called you ET but I chose rocket man instead. A rocket flies in the air, mostly going boom at the end of its journey,"
Flare just nodded at Reno blankly, "Alright then" He said deciding it was too much trouble trying to understand, "Is there anywhere to eat around here?" He asked changing the subject for the benefit of his sanity, "I haven't eaten in almost a week." Flare stopped and turned to Reno waiting for directions to somewhere he could eat.
Meanwhile, Nero who had managed to push the random man's memories to the side had gotten back to work putting together Reno's thoughts and memories. It was frightening him the things he saw in some of these memories, it was amazing that Reno was still somewhat sane...
Flare flinched as he caught glimpses of more memories, he tried to keep his emotions from his face, but some of the things he saw were too jorrible to describe. Flare felt sorry for Reno and his life.
Reno rocked onto his toes as he thought. "There's a Wutain place around here, or fast food - burgers and stuff...or a proper meal,"
Reno couldn't remember the last time he had eaten. It didn't bother him. The Mako ensured he kept going and he always ate before things got out of hand. He had been starving as a child and the thought of piles of food turned his stomach. His guts just couldn't cope with it. He had been living like that for too long.
"A proper meal for famished peeps," he exclaimed. "This way,"
Reno had just the place in mind. It was quiet, cosy, but not intimate or romantic like. Flare would get a good meal, there was a good choice and then perhaps it'd make Nero more agreeable. Flare seemed to be growning on him which was odd - usually he liked someone or he didn't. There was no 'getting used to'.
Strange.
"It's not too far from here actually. It's a nice little place. Set up shop after Meteor. Suffered a bit when DG came roaming but then, Edge had to be deserted,"
Flare walked beside Reno and for the first time realised how thin he was. Without even asking premission Nero flashed Flare an image of Reno as a child with his neglectful parents. "It must have been hard, not having anyone to take care of you... I don't mean to pry, but I do see the images that Nero is looking through." Flare explained.
He paused in his step wondering if he was going too far, he didn't want to chase away the only person who was willing to help him, "You don't have to tell me, I was just curious, but it is none of my business" Flare began to walk again, digging his gloved hands in his pockets.
Reno shrugged. The only reason he wasn't walking away right now, or punching the guy was because of his willingness to let it go. It wasn't much, and perhaps it was a ruse to make him talk but however small a sentiment it was, Reno appreciated it. He didn't like being forced into doing anything.
He liked the illusion of choice.
He was completely brainless. He knew in ShinRa they had just let him wear his uniform as he wanted, let him speak that way and be a bit outrageous. It was a gold leafed cage. They'd let him prowl a bit before squeezing in the walls reminding him exactly where he belonged. That was just the way the story goes. It wasn't like Reno would have left had they given him the choice. No, he was have stayed until the bitter end, no matter what fate that should be. They gave him money, food, clothes, friends, why would he want to turn their back on them? No, the cage was just to ensure that he didn't go too far and knew when to stop.
"What was difficult is when they stole from me but that's just how the cookie crumbles. Sticks and stones mate. Not everyone gets daisies and sunshine and rainbow coloured candyfloss," He didn't want pity nor sympathy. He survived. What's next?
"Just gotta do what's best with the hand that's dealt to ya. I traded mine for better cards," Reno smirked. "We're here,"
Flare froze, Reno just brushed it away, such was life. Flare had never really had a life other then that of Nero's and Nero was really just a big kid, he didn't complain much, but he never really had anything to complain about, he chose his paths and stuck to them, but others Flare knew would milk their misfortune for all its worth. But not Reno.
"Even if they were bad, at least you had parents," Flare smiled walking into the restraunt.
Nero hummed sending Flare a few more images which the black head tried to block out. "Stop" He growled at Nero, "I don't need your gift, I can talk to him without knowing him through and through,"
Flare let Reno once more take the lead in this unfamilure enviroment.
The floors were tiled in a speckled white, the tables a dark brown. The chairs were cushy and soft, high backed. The tables were of an even spacing and the atmosphere was nice. The ceiling wasn't too high so it didn't feel like a warehouse.
"i know quite a few individuals who'd say otherwise. I was happy when the died," perhaps that proved how dangerous he was but Reno didn't care. Why should he be sad his parents finally popped their clogs? What did they ever do for him that was so great?
"Flare?" You OK?" Reno asked. The other guy looked tense and kinda angry too. "They do a great fish here, if you are interested,"
Flare stared at Reno, "I would give anything just to have parents, don't care if I never met them. I just want them." Flare walked over to look at a menue from one of the tables, he blocked out Nero and began to search for something he desired. He settled on steak. He looked up at Reno, "you eating?" he aksed curiously.
The red head was far too thin in his opinion. It reminded him of Leamarden when the teenager was first crowned. He was over worked and got the bad habit of falling asleep in council meetings from a lack of sleep, but most troubling was his suddenly very obvious ribs and bones. For the first six months of his rule Leamarden was little more then a skeleton but soon, between Nero and Seltex they had him back into shape, probably saving his life.

Reno couldn't image ever wanting parents. He did just fine without his. Even then they were alive it wasn't like the were the most nurturing of folks. Reno had the unfortunance of coming from one of the poorest parts of the slums so people there were pretty rough anyway. After Meteor it seemed like everyone just noticed how many poor orphaned kids there were and decided to help them. They were there before and no one payed any attention then. Guess Sephiroth going crazy and Meteor was quite the wake up call.
Parents weren't all that great. It was only after he joined the Turks that he learned how they were supposed to be - nurturing, caring, held you when you cried, were sympathetic when you scraped your knee, sent you to the best school they could, worked hard, put food on the table and kept you warm etc. All of that seemed so odd to Reno. It just gave him the impression that children were coddled a little bit too much. They had a larger capacity to understand than adults gave them credit for.
Maybe the idea is, is they shouldn't have to.
"I guarentee if you had parents you'd complain about them. But I guess that's what you are supposed to do. Complain and argue with your folks and rebell," Reno shrugged. He hadn't met anyone who hadn't gone 'Gaia, Ma is such a pain...'
Nobody really asked him if he was eating. Nobody really noticed that he didn't all that much and Rude always made sure that something was shoved down his gob one way or the other. Reno never had that much love for food now that he could afford it. How twisted was that? "Yeah," he replied as if it was obvious that he was going to eat - he was looking at the menu wasn't he? He didn't have an eating disorder or anything and that time he fainted was years ago when the Commander was working them too hard right after he came back from a long mission and didn't have time to eat or drink. Didn't help that he hid his sprained ankle and bruised ribs.
"I'm having the lamb if you are interested," Reno said not really knowing what to say. Flare was an inquisitive type and Reno wasn't entirely sure why he hadn't tried to damage Flare in some way or run in the other direction. Perhaps he was too curious for his own good, wanting to discover the differences between them.
Flare looked at the menue listening to Reno with a fond smile, "Maybe you didn't have the best experiance... but I litrally have no parents. I wasn't made like a 'normal' person." Flare explained.
Adar had created him as a punishment for Nero, but it hadn't worked, Flare and Nero had connected and now were the best of friends and companions, even if they did get annoyed at each other on occassion. When Adar had taken Flare as one of his angels he had felt lonely and had jumped at the oppertunity to return to Nero.
"I'll have the steak," Flare said turning from the menue and looking around the diner, it was a strange and alien place to his home. This world was by far more modern and it stirred Flare's curiosity. He wanted to learn more, but he was unsure if Reno was the best person to teach him or if he should find another companion.
Reno shrugged. His empathic skills weren't exactly the best nor were they finely sharpened. The other thing about parents was they were supposed to teach you about right or wrong but his failed to teach him much at all except if you want something done, do it yourself because no one is gonna do it for ya, and if they do, chances are they'll do it wrong.
"You're gonna need to order a drink," He said indicating to the wine list. "Or there's beer, cider, or soft drinks. Or tap water,"
Reno grinned. "Be careful what you wish for," Rufus had told him that. He said it in that all serious tone - he's almost always serious but Reno can tell when he's being sincere and genuine and really did want him to take it in this time. Lucky he was paying attention actually. Actually no because Rufus had told him he didn't have to do his paperwork that day if he payed attention. Looked like that worked a treat.
Reno was hoping to get off the subject. He was trying not to be nasty but philosophical c*** wasn't his thing. It was too personal and he didn't talk this way with anyone else but he wasn't sure how he should respond since his entire life was floating around somewhere in that head of his.
Flare looked at the drinks, beer rang a bell and so did water, of course, but everything else was strange to him, "Water," he shrugged.
Flare could sense Reno's unease about him prying, so he decided not to push the subject further.
"Flare, you are so boring," Nero whined. "Why is that?" Flare asked genuinly confused. "Pry, get the information you want. His mind is an open book to you." Flare growled, "Unlike you Nero, I respect the privacy of others, it is his choice if he wants to talk he can."
Flare shifted looking around the room again and eying off the few people who were eating in the restraunt. "Do people in your world eat in places like this often?" Flare asked turning his head sideways to Reno.
"Water?" He asked raising an eyebrow. Boring. Well at least he would be hydrated. Wouldn't want to be dehydrated that would be bad, especially for someone who's mind was active all the time. Gee whizz.
Reno shrugged. "Dunno. If they can afford it I guys. To celebrate special occasions and all that, or maybe they just don't feel like doing it themselves and have got money to spare. Perhaps they don't have time,"
There were a lot of reason none of which Reno could care for. He ate out because he didnt' have time to cook and actually didn't know how to do more than cook sausages and eggs and simple stuff like that. Give him some pasta and he'll stare at you confused for ages.
"Why here?" Reno asked after the waitress took their orders.
Flare traced his finger along the wooden table, he was not the kind of person who needed to fill silence with mindless conversation, he would rather sit in silence then waste his breath on pointless words. Pointless words, it was one of the reasons he made a horrible diplomat, Flare could not toy with words the way Nero could. Flare liked his answers straight foward and simple.
Flare pushed back his black hair and considered trying it back, but then decided he would rather avoid looking like, in his eyes, a girl. He ran his fingers through the black hair, it was something that set him apart from all of the other angels of fire, Adar's other angels had red hair, while Flare had black. And that was the way he liked it. It was strange that the Angel was less likely to draw attention to himself then the elemental when among normal people. Nero's pale red hair was very obvious.
Flare didn't seem to be paying much attention to him but he was used to that. For some reason people tended to shut out the sound of his voice whenever they could. Perhaps it was for their sanity. He knew he shut Elena out for the sake of what was left of his when she started to lecture him about something. Imagine being lectured by someone who is not only younger but lower in rank as well?
It grated.
"Why Gaia? Why this planet?" Reno asked. Hadn't they had enough trouble over the years? Reno himself longed for trouble but the people here had been through a lot and through there spirit was strong, it had been regularly tested. It was just that a break would be nice from the apocolypse.
Flare's mind immidiently strayed to Leamarden and Seltex, they two were like brothers to him, after all they were Nero's brothers. Nero cared dearly for them, even for Leamarden, the pigheaded elder twin. Seltex was a lot quieter, but not a force to be toyed with. Seltex, despite been thing and gangly could handle himself with little difficulty and above all, he was an amazing diplomat, he could lie to your face without a problem and make anything sound good or bad no matter how far from the truth it was.
Flare sighed deeply, tracing the patterns in the wood more intently now, "I have been moving to every world I can. Nero and I are searching for his brothers. They were taken from us in a black smoke and we have been searching for them ever since. We search the worlds for signs and clues, but the trail has been cold for a long time now and we start to loose hope," Flare pushed back his hair as it slipped past his ear.
Nero meanwhile began to hum trying to push his younger brothers from his mind, their dissaperance caused him more stress the longer they were away.
"Tough," Reno commented although he didn't really care. Why should he? He wasn't exactly compassionate and didn't understand the need to be gentle. He didn't get why people sugar coated things so much for children when they understand a lot more than adults give them credit for. Being sheltered wasn't neccesarily a good thing and their capacity to accept things was amazing. It was in adulthood people started to deny things. It didn't happen. I didn't see that, or do this. One thing always stayed the same: blame somebody else.
"What were they like?" Reno wasn't sure where he was going with this. Perhaps it took his mind off the fact he had been alone for quite some time now and he hated it. It had been a long time since he hadn't had someone to check in with or bother on a daily basis. His favourite hobby was to torment Elena and see if he could get Rude to use his facial muscles even the tiniest bit. They too were gone in a thick cloudy shroud of darkness.
The darkness wasn't so bad. It was indescriminate. It didn't choose on looks, the capacity to love or be evil, anger or sorrow, religion or race. It didn't chose. It just did. It like nature should be respected. This was coming from the guy who had little respect for anything.
It was clear that Flare was trying to avoid the subject. He found it uncomfortable as he tried to distract hismelf with endless invisible patterns on the table. Reno didn't care. He wanted to talk about it. He didn't need to see into his head to know that this may push him too far, or that he may retreat into himself even more. Nero had the nerve to call him on his character. Perhaps it was guilt? He still didn't know where he stood with them. Flare wasn't so bad - he thought that he might be able to like that guy. His grievance wasn't with thim. Nero on the other hand. Trying to kill him he could forgive and let go. Some things...some things weren't so easy to forgive.
Flare tensed and stopped drawing patterns with his fingers, his brow creased with concentration as if trying to recall a distant memory, "The twins..." He muttered a small smile touching his lips as he now thought more deeply about them. He looked up at Reno, "Well, from the time I have known them and what I have seen in Nero's memories, I can tell you that if there were ever twins with a mental connection it is them. You would never believe they are twins, Seltex is still a baby face, when I first met him I didn't know his name, so my companions and I called him 'Angel face' he was our hope while we were captives. Seltex is the sweetest person you will ever meet, but never let that decieve you. He is also very smart, he can pull the wool over anyones eyes. Then there is Leamarden, he is older by five odd minutes, a fact he is very proud of. Leamarden is a lot more foward and to the point. He is a lot like Nero, only... Nero has a subtlty about him, he is quieter and does't draw as much attention to himself."
While Flare was comfortable talking about the twins, Nero grew more restless and tried to fight the thoughts and memories of his brothers away. It was easier not to think about them. Flare shook his head smiling, "Even though Leamarden hates my guts, I will be glad to see him again. No matter what insults he throws at me."
Reno guessed that he might quite like the twins if he ever got the meet them. Sweetness with the sly cunningness was a fantastic stinging combination. Lethal really.
"They sound great," Reno in the smallest capacitiy that he had left for feeling compassion - Rufus had been working on that before everything went to hell - fell kinda sorry for Flare. Leamarden hated him but he missed him anyway, there was Seltex and he was stuck with Nero who may or may not be having a mental breakdown. Or Nero could be like that all the time and then Reno really didn't like him for too many reasons to count.
Who would have thought a Turk would be so against invasion of privacy?
It was different though. Intimate. So private it was like....he wasn't going to go there. Not at all. This confused him because he never felt this messed up about anything in a long time. It affected him more than expected. Reno had thought his armour was so thick by now that very little could penetrate it. Just his luck he found one of the few creatures in existance who could.
"Must be intresting," Reno commented. There food had arrived and Reno took his time to start and ate slowly. He had been feeling peckish before but his appetite died just before the food arrived.
"They'll find each other. It's what strong people do," Now who exactly was he saying that to? Flare? Or himself?
((OC: sorry if that is at all repetetive. Reno strikes me as kind of obssessive when something bugs him and I couldn't hink of anythign else. sorry))
Flare picked up his knife and fork and began to eat. A beautiful gold chain slipped from his neck, on it was a pendent that opened up. it was adorned with a large ruby, the rarest of all stones, but the Ruby was marked with a black "F". Flare took the pendent and slipped it back in his shirt looking up, hoping Reno hadn't seen it.
He let out a breath of warm air onto his gloved hands, it was akward eating while one's hands were gloved. He carefully removed the gloves before picking back up his cutlery. He took another bite of his steak. "You remind me of him somewhat." He said quietly, "Leamarden I mean... He isn't a bad kid or anything, despite how I talk about him. Just for some reason you make me think of him..." Flare was starting to think it may be the attitude, the glances of Reno's memories he had seen and the subtle things he had noticed about Reno just made him think about Leamarden. "I know it sounds strange... I just had to get it out..."
The pendant was intruiging. It made Reno's pickpocketing mind and fingers twitch. A precious stone would do that to someone who still in essence thought like a slum kid who had no hope. That was the life of a Turk though. No hope. Hope wasn't something that they lived on. What was faith? Reno may be skeptical, he didn't believe in a God but after the events of Geostigma Reno did believe in one beautiful half Ancient who they had once half heartedly attempted to capture. Of course, they were always thorough in their monitoring. She had been kinda cute. Reno smiled slightly. There was good in some people after all, even if it was rare.
"Should I be worried?" Reno half joked. He hated being compared to people he had never met before. He liked to think himself unique. How many slightly insane, minutely pscychotic, hyper assassin/thugs could you get? How many people shared a body or could talk to a planet? On the otherhand how many poeple had been infused with Mako?
There was a commotion outside. A group of men entered the restaurant and the atmosphere turned tense. "Uh oh," Reno muttered. Trouble was most certainly always fun but he had promised himself he would keep an eye on the alien sitting before him and this could be the opportune moment to escape. Flare's company was not altogether unpleasant but Nero could take over at any moment. It would be just his luck if he decided to join a fight against him.
The men were rowdy, loud and rude. It was always the same. His hair was a giveaway and he had made a few enemies living in the slums. It was a way of life. Enemy was an interesting description. They were part of the gang he used to run with before being picked up by the Turks. He hadn't exactly been famous for the right reasons with most of them. Death didn't bother them either. EVen if the other Turks were here, it may have only served as a challenge. They were quite a few tables away and not paying any attention of the rest of the restaurant. There was, hopefully, a good chance they'd never notice him.
Flare smiled, "Don't be worried, Lee is not a bad kid, he is actually a good kid...Unless your name is Flare." The black head chuckled to himself.
Flare looked up and spotted the men, he could tell straight away that they were trouble, Flare really didn't want trouble, not here, not now. He bit his lip and glanced at Reno, "Please, tell me that they are friends of yours... and in a good way..." Flare already knew the answer. He could tell from Reno's reaction that these guys were trouble.
'Up for some fun?' Nero asked pushing his work away and comming foward in Flare's mind. 'Not really...but if we must fight, we shall.' Flare moved his fingers back and foward then clenched and unclenched them. He didn't want to fight, but he would.
All the years of war came back to Flare, this would be the first time he would have to fight in a long time, he just hoped he hadn't lost any of his skills.

The guys were roudy, loud and obnoxious. They held little respect for others and didn't care what others thought. They were holding their ground well in the Sector 2 slums and were now set to run out the ruling gang in Sector 1. The last time Reno saw them they were based on the Sector 4 slums and were fighting for survival. They had gotten more ruthless since then. Of course it helped when the competition died.
"Friends of mine? Sure. Yeah yeah they are friends of mine." Reno said distractedly. "Oh yeah great friends...mhm,"
Reno was doing his best to make himself small and insignifant and was mentally cursing his hair colour...and Flare's. They were probably the only two red heads around for a great distance. Reno had a feeling things were going to get interesting.
Reno took a deep breath. "Gotta go," It came out kind of squeaky. Reno cooly got up and walked out, looking nonchalant.
((Flare has black hair. Nero is the red head... everyone keeps mixing them up))
Flare watched them, obviously not the kind of people he would want to hang around with. He watched Reno hurridly get up and quickly followed almost slipping on the greasy floor of the restraunt. The place seemed darkened by the men's mere presence. Flare was intent not to lose Reno, he didn't want to be left in the world alone. He hated trying to navigate new worlds. It was never fun.
'Be careful Flare, they reek of bad news.' Nero warned. 'I'm on it.'
Flare movede in to step with Reno and tried to block him from the bad company, hoping the red head may go unnoticed. Reno was obviously distressed by these men.
"Oh good. Be obvious about it," Reno muttered when he glanced behind and saw Flare trying to shelter him from their gaxe. They had a sixth sense about nerves. It was like they had a built in Avoidance Meter that went off like a blazing alarm inside their thick skulls.
He only got to the door of the restaurant before the guys jeered. "Oh looky who it is!" One cried loudly. "Been a long time since we've seen this one hasn't it boys?"
The room was silent. It was a knife-edged strained atmosphere that was so tense it was oppressive. Reno ignored them and kept on walking. They'd hate it but it was take any confrontation outside.
Flare followed after Reno, all his senses were in over drive, he knew it would be better for his own safety to stay in a crowded area, but for the safety of others that was not an option. He stepped out onto the street, glancing over his shoulder at the men.
'Don't worry Flare. I am ready for them.' 'I hate it when your voice sounds like that Nero...' Nero laughed.
"Come one! It's been such a long time! Won't you say hello?" The main man called loudly.
Reno suppressed a growl. He had never wanted to see these people again. They had made his life hell, but then he never made their life a picnic either. It wasn't in his nature to be meek or quiet and lay down. He fought with them tooth and nail. It didn't always end well.
"Hi. Now sling yer hook, yo," Reno replied.
"You snatched ma biggest deal there Red. Don't think am just gonna letchya walk away now are ya?"
"I dont' give a damn. Whatever it was, whoever you are, it was a long time ago I'm sure,"
"Now that was practically a confession wasn't it boys?" The men jeered and cawed. Reno kept on walking to prevent being surrounded.
Flare let out a deep breath, a flame flicking between his middle and index finger on his gloved hands, in his home world if anyone has spotted that they would have backed off, unless they were a water elemental. Flare would be surprised if these men would even notice if his whole hand was on fire. He glanced at Reno and chuckled, it seemed like his companion wasn't all that clean himself for all his talk about privacy.
As the men jeered the tips of Flare's fingers came alight and he spun around, he had had enough of these men already. Nero's powers flowed into him and Flare grew stronger. His eyes were ablaze with anger and a snarl ripped from his throat, "Back off," He growled at the men, "Unless you want to get hurt...or killed," In his gloved hand a sword appeared and then disappeared, a warning.
'Let me fight them,' Nero begged, 'It will help me wind down. Please Flare.' Flare chuckled, 'All yours my friend, just go easy on them and let them make the first move.' 'Gotcha,'
Flare's hair changed to Nero's crimson colour and his eyes became more youthful as they swapped places. A smirk played on Nero's pink lips and he licked them, waiting for the attack.

"Woah! Holy crap!" One of the smaller skinnier guys exclaimed as the fire licked at Flare and then he transformed back into Nero. This dude was one weird bugger!
Reno shifted uncomfortabley. He had grown fond of Flare. He was calmer, more polite, kinder even, had a more sedate manner. Reno hismelf, although fiery, hot-headed and loudmouthed, did for some reason get on better with others who were quieter. Nero made him uneasy with his willy nilly invasion of privacy, but he'd take the help. For now.
Reno grinned. "You want an apology? 'cause you ain't gettin one. If I recall you kept eatin' ma rations so I needed to make a bit of dough somehow,"
"You were stealing from the kitty!" One of the them accused.
Reno raised an eyebrow. "And you weren't? I remember only a third of your profits went into the pool,"
"Whatever dude. You stole from me. That was a might profit you went off with," They all flexed, tensed and were very nearly about to attack.
"Yes. I do recall 50 gill was a lot of money back then," Reno smirked. He had never seen more than 60 at once, and rarely more than 3 was in his hands. It was a rather large gang,"
"Then you ran away you wimp,"
Reno's smik widened. He hadn't. He had gotten picked up by the Turks luckily. His lips widened into a grin when they attacked. Reno dodged and flicked out his EMR. He still was the fastest of the Turks. Most of them didn't stand a chance.
Nero smirked, "Thank you, I do enjoy been unique," he threw his hand out and his sword formed out of the flames. The orange flames danced along the blade as Nero lowered it so it pointed to the ground.
As the men advanced he raised it again and the entire sword was alight, he ran foward cutting down the first man. The stench of burning flesh filled the air. the second man Nero set alight.
'Don't be sadistic,' Flare instructed from Nero's mind 'I'll fight in my own style,' Nero growled.
The red head cut down another man, Flare took over his body and dismissed his sword. Nero would hate him for this. Flare skillfully faught with only his fists knocking a fourth man out.
Reno fought happily. It had been a long time since he could fight something that was living, breathing, bleeding. The Heartless weren't quite as good fun as they seemed to be. It wasn't like they even felt pain. He respected his boss enough to try and continue what he was doing - the new leaf thing? - but he never said he wouldn't savour every second if the need arose to pummel the life out of a few guys.
They hadn't realised how quick he was - or they forgot. Reno had three guys on the floor before they had even blinked. It was only when he had been distracted by Nero that they managed to force him to the side with a violent kick to the ribs. It pushed Reno into a wall which he quickly used to leverage an attack on them, whipping forwards and knocking two of them down. Reno quickly dealt with them.
In the end Reno had managed to only kill a couple of them. One was a guy who had been sneaking up on him. His life ended far too quickly for his liking with a snapping of a fragile neck and the other apparantly had an issue with electricity.
Flare breathed a loud sigh staring at their handy work, "So, who were those guys?" he asked casually rabbing his clothes against the brick wall to get rid of some of the blood. He stared at the dead bodies and snapped his fingers and fire began to dance over them, he was merciful and did not touch the injured or unconcious.
The black haired man looked around, "I guess we better get out of here before people find them..." He said continuing down the ally.
He slipped his hands into his pockets, he was glad that his black clothing hid the blood, but he could feel it cooling against his warm skin. He would have to find a place to change. He'd then dump and burn the clothes he was wearing, that would make him and Nero low on clothing and in the unlikely case of them splitting bodies on of them would have nothing to wear, but it was unlikely they would split, it hurt Nero too much and Flare wouldn't have time to deal with the blood and pain his friend would be in.
He licked his lips and realised that he had their blood on his face. He stopped walking and began to wipe it on his shirt, that did little more then smear it, "What god have I angered?" He muttered darkly.
