Character Creation
Name: Sora
Known Name: Sora, Sor, Keyblade Master, Sky-boy
Age: 18
Race: Human
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Bisexual – he really doesn’t actually think about. Sora’s pretty oblivious to any sort of attention beyond friendship, although he starting to wonder recently...
Path: Light
Alliance: Light
Home World: Destiny Islands
Weapon or Weapons: Keyblades – Sora wields a variety of keyblades over the course of both games, although his most well-known keyblade is the Kingdom Key. The design and powers of each keyblade is determined by the keychain attached to the Kingdom Key. These keychains act as boosts, and depending on the design, can boost Sora’s abilities in defense, offense and magic.
Powers: Light – Just as his Nobody, Roxas, can wield Light, Sora is also capable of using it, although no where near as effectively or adeptly.
Magic – Thanks to Merlin’s teachings, Sora can cast a variety of magic spells including both offensive and defensive magic. Being able to heal without having to use potions is especially helpful for both Sora and anyone he’s fighting beside. Cute/Puppy Eyes – Yes, this is a special power. Unbeknownst to Sora, he has the ability to sway most beings of Light and even Twilight to agree with him, or at the very least help him. Riku seems to be particularly vulnerable to this, perhaps due to having known Sora for so many years.
Any Known Contacts: Riku, Kairi, King Mickey, Goofy, Donald, DiZ, Leon, Cloud, Aerith, Yuffie, Cid, Ariel, Simba, Aladdin, Queen Minnie, Daisy, Jack Skellington, most of the Organization EXCEPT Lexaeus and Zexion (He never encountered them in person while in Castle Oblivion), a wide variety of notable characters on the main Worlds. (If I were to list them all, this would go on for days.)
Character Personality: Despite all that’s happened to him over the last two years, Sora remains a bright, somewhat naïve optimist. He prefers to see the good in the people he trusts and cares about, and is quick to forgive his friends. Strong willed, Sora takes his responsibility as the Keyblade Master very seriously and refuses to give up even when the odds appear to be stacked against him. The typical hero, Sora will protect anyone who needs his protection or help, even if he doesn’t know them. This isn’t always a good thing, as there are times when he really shouldn’t sacrifice everything he has for others (although he’d tell you otherwise).
Sometimes Sora’s naïve trust in his friends can lead him to believing things they tell him at face value, even when there appears to be evidence that contradicts what he’s been told. It is this that led him to see the world in the black and white of childhood, although he is now starting to realize that there are shades of grey to what he’s been told to believe. After all of his encounters with Organization XIII and seeing what happened to his best friends, it’s a little hard to still believe that everything is as simple as he once thought it was. Like any other teenage, he’s impulsive and can at times have a bit of a temper. There is a part of him that loves the thrill of a fight, and this can sometimes end up in him challenging others that he just really shouldn’t. Even with his immature nature, Sora has a huge heart and an incredibly strong sense of justice, allowing him to both love and forgive his friends unconditionally and fight to the very end for what (and who) he believes in. Sora loves to laugh, and will do almost anything to cheer up those around him. Cheerful and optimistic almost to the point of being dangerously gullible, Sora is a wonderful person to have around if you need a pick-up, although Leon and Riku might tell you he can get a little annoying at times. Jokes are like food to him, and he hates to see his friends feeling down. But don’t let his bright smile fool you; the weight of what he’s gone through and what he’s seen isn’t as invisible as he would like you to believe. In private, he can be just as solemn as Riku, and has moments of feeling down and sometimes doubts his ability to live up to what everyone expects of him. He’s also not as stupid as his carefree attitude would lead many to believe, and sometimes this has caused his enemies to underestimate him, leading to their eventual destruction.
Character History: Sora was born and raised on the sunny Destiny Islands, growing up with his best friend Riku and their other friends. Summers were spent on the play island, learning how to fight with wooden swords and swimming in the crystal clear waters of the ocean. Kairi later joined the duo of Sora and Riku, the three of them often wondering and dreaming about what lay beyond their idyllic home. It was this very dreaming that would leave them open to the adventure that would take all of them far beyond what any of them had ever expected.
The idea of losing his two best friends fueled Sora to learn to properly wield the keyblade he was chosen to carry, and he searched world after world for signs of both of them. Even after finding Kairi, Sora continued his search for Riku, refusing to give up on the older boy and forgiving him completely for falling victim to first Maleficent and then Xehanort’s Heartless. However, it took Kairi to recognize Riku at the very end when he was still under the control of Xehanort’s Hearts and appeared to look like the former apprentice. Once pointed out, Sora begged his friend to return to him, that he forgave him and had looked everywhere for him. He didn’t really care about what Riku had or hadn’t done; he just wanted his best friend back. During his journeys, Sora visited many fantastical worlds, even changing forms for some of them. Many of the friends he made, he’s remained in contact with. Friends are terribly important to Sora and once you’re his friend, it’s for life. Some of these new friends played important parts in Sora’s growth as both a person and as a warrior, many of them taking the time to help him train, such as when Leon coached the young keyblade master in wielding his weapon. With the destruction of Castle Naught, the Organization and Kingdom Hearts, Sora and Riku eventually returned to Kairi and Destiny Islands. They all thought for sure that their adventures were done and the process of recovering from what they had all experienced and seen could begin. Little did they know that the first act was just ending, the next looming to begin with a bang.
Character's Physical Description: Sora’s a bit on the short side for his age, something that’s caused no end of arguments between him and Riku. He swears that any day now he’s going to get that growth spurt and then just you wait and see, he’ll be taller than Riku by the end! His hair is a warm reddish shade of brown and sprouts out of his head in uncontrollable spikes. And yes, they’re completely natural, thank you very much. Bright blue eyes are probably one of his most distinguishing characteristics, holding all of the innocent hope that he holds in his heart. As for outfits, Sora prefers bright colours and lots of pocket, belts, chains and random accessories. Height: 5'4" Eyes: Blue Hair: Chestnut/cinnamon brown

Grinning brightly, Sora laced his fingers together behind his head and looked up to where Riku was perched on the Paopu tree. “Aw c’mon Riku, it’s not all that bad!” He laughed a little, leaning against the tree. “I don’t care about any of that. You’re my best friend, I’ll always forgive you. What matters is that I found you and we made it home,” the younger boy proclaimed, expression suddenly serious, although a hint of a smile remained. The look he received from the silver haired boy wasn’t quite what he was expecting. Guilt, disbelief and no small amount of fearful hurt showed clearly on Riku’s face. Lowering his hands, Sora then hopped up on the tree trunk to sit next to his friend. Reaching out for the hand nearest him, he held it and looked earnestly into somewhat haunted turquoise eyes. “Riku, why can’t you accept that Kairi and I not only forgive you but that we still love you? I looked everywhere for you and I was so happy when I finally found you.” He looked down at their hands before lifting his eyes back up to meet Riku’s, smiling weakly. “Now we can fight anything that comes together, right? We can watch each other’s backs now.” “Sora, it’s not that easy…” “Yes it is Riku! Not everything is complicated! You always make things so much harder than they have to be!” “Sor-“ “No! I finally got you back! I’m going to just let you leave without me,” Sora argued, an unexpected glare on his face. He’d grown over the last two years and was no longer the easily persuaded boy who had eagerly followed Riku around, who had idolized his older friend. He’d fought and defeated incalculable enemies, bested odds stacked against him and saved worlds. But he still cared about his friends and refused to let Riku wallow in guilt or whatever else he wanted to call it. “You can’t do everything by yourself. Sometimes you have to let your friends help you,” he said in a softer voice, cerulean eyes earnest in their owner’s desire to help his friend. Shifting a little closer, he looked up at his still taller friend. “Riku, you can’t stand alone all the time. I want to stand with you.”
Extras: Yes, I’m of the opinion that Sora does, in fact have a brain. He’s seen far too much to remain a complete innocent and I refuse to play him as an ADD-ridden idiot.
-glomps and clings- How could I not love it? Between that and the fact that you play Sora with an actual, working brain, I think I could safely say ilu ;)
Hahaha ilu too! *snuggles* I can't stand it when people play Sora as a complete idiot. There's a big difference between being naive and being an idiot. >_O
Yeeaa. I really don't know why people have a hard time seeing that Sora can actually be pretty smart/observant when the mood strikes him. Sure, he can be goofy, too, but that doesn't mean he's all fluff -.- Le sigh. Still! All the more reason to be happy when you find someone who can play him well! -snuggle-
Also, the combination of Zack and Sora would be enough to put anyone into a sugar coma. Just sayin' ;)
They would end up bouncing around the room in fits of over optimism.
(I should know I did this with Nath, they ended up poke fighting on the couch. With Cloud massaging his temples and wondering what he had got himself into)
Hahaha oh man... the mental images! Cloud and Riku would probably end up either pounding their heads against the nearest hard surface or trying to shut them up when they start singing "The Song That Never Ends." XD
Lawl. I think that'd call for a suicide/murder pact between Riku and Cloud: "In the event that Sora and Zack begin to sing The Song That Never Ends and/or get into the candy stash, I kill you and you kill me."
Somehow I can picture Zack all too well talking young Cloud into wearing a dress for some reason which ends up being purely his own amusement, no matter what the excuse he intially gives is.
