For the plot, even with the heros valiant efforts, they do not know their enemy at this point. They may be overpowered, have to retreat...who knows....
I don't exactly want to play this by ear as I am tired of coming up with this all as we go along so input!

Does Radiant Garden Fall? If it does, what is to happen? If it doesn't, what is to happen? We should know this as we go, I don't like making stuff up on the spot, I always seem to have to and it starts to get on my nerves.
Traverse Town will be under attack quite soon and FF characters not in the Radiant Garden thread will be invited to participate their. But should Radiant Garden fall? It is a change that will not be undone until the plot is finished, changing it for the majority of the plot to a nearly dead world.
I have not known what to do about this, as it is a major and lasting change, so I wanted some input.
I think the world should fall. Now, I may sound like a pretty bad hero at this point *giggles*, but it would seem more realistic for me. Like you said, the heroes in the plot thread don't know the enemy. They don't know that both light and dark are being wiped out. So they're thoroughly confused and in over their heads. They can fight valiantly, but I think they'll lose. At least until they scope our their enemies a bit.
I think the enemy will overpower them, and they can escape, depending on who they are, and if anyone is getting really bored or something, they can sacrifice themselves for the cause. The world can start to grey gradually, giving them enough time to haul out, and then some of them can regroup in Traverse Town.
But don't take my word on it. I don't want to influence, like you said, such a lasting decision. You should ask some characters involved in the thread, because I haven't really kept up with it, so they'd probably know better than I. Anyway, I'd love to be involved in the FF character thread. The only problem with the falling of a world is, it would fall for the plot but not elsewise. I have seen many boards where the plot has basically become the entire board and many worlds have fallen making them inable to be played on by people who are not participating in the plot. I don't want that here.
So if it falls put a stickied thread inside stating what has happened to it in plot but that outside of plot it's normal? I don't know..
Hmm, that's a really hard decision. I like the idea of it gradually "greying out" as it were - essentially reverting it back to a Hallow Bastion-like state. It makes a lot more sense for something like that to happen than for the heroes to just miraculously defeat a new and unknown enemy.
As for our heroes (or anti-heroes as the case may be) - we need to decide on what happens with them as well. It's very difficult, now that we no longer have Cloud or Riku with us, both rather vital characters. I can vouch that if something happens to Riku, Sora will not take it well. But as for Leon, Cloud and the NPCs of RG, I really don't know.
Zexion, I think, is likely more than capable of making a get-away if needed - he's one of the least likely to fall to the invaders due to his personal abilities. Would he take Vexen with him? *shrugs* I don't know. He might, he might not. That's something I'd have to discuss with Vexen, and it would also depend on how badly Vexen is affected by the illusions.

It is that exact thing i am mulling over. The fact we lost two important characters in that thread. I do not want to play it out with out them but yet I do not want to just close the thread and say it's already over. The hollows won. But what exactly can we do about that?
It is one of my human flaws and forgetting which is which. Yes I do not have perfect grammar though I own a forum. I mention this quite abit that I don't. Which is why I don't attack people about their own that oftened. Unless of course it verges on chatspeak. I leave the grammar hounding to Zexion ^_~
It's no big deal, but I thought if you were going to advise me on my style of communication it was only common courtesy for me to return the favor :P Besides which, I've always had a bit of a soft spot for grammar
... that was weird, it only posted half of my message.
Anyway, I meant to continue that I've always been a bit lax with following the rules of capitalization, myself. I know we all have our writing quirks, and I didn't mean to offend any more than you did, I'm sure.

Even if we invite and have people come to take those spots I think we'd have to start that thread again we can not expect people to take up where the other left off no? That's asking a bit much.
It really seems like there's little alternative; as much as any of us might like to finish what was started, the fact of the matter is that a decent number of us weren't there, and several that were aren't anymore. If it had been completed, it would have been easy enough to twirk in-game canon to suit new circumstances, but as it stands I don't think that's really a plausible option.
It is allowed they just have to be okey with the fact that in the rules it says nearly anything goes. So no bit-chin ^_~ And in the plot threads I expect large post amounts, the other casual rps I don't care as long as the others don't complain you aren't giving enough to work off of.
I have to say I agree - it looks like we'll have to at least restart the part with Leon, Sora & co. I really don't think it's super necessary to start the other side, since all those charas/muns are still here.

I know I'm coming late to the convo... but is there a possibility of perhaps having some of the other members of the board temporarily stand in for Cloud and Riku? Either play as those two at least until either the end of the scene or to play them to the point we can gracefully set them aside until new muns can take up the role.

Well anyone up to the challenge that would be able to and know they can do a decent rendition of them? Also keep in mind that threads post lengths Please! We were all shooting out a good 3-5 Gorgeously huge paragraphs in there and it would awesome if we can keep the same.

I could manage a decent Riku; however, I also think I can probably find someone who could do it better within the next few days - I've already singled out a few prospects, but haven't had the opportunity to talk to them yet. Unless anyone has an issue with this, I intend to keep recruiting.

-chuckles- I'm threading as fast as I can. Only have one so far with Axel and Sephy. I'm a bit too timid to break into any other since I haven't gone through them to determine the story up until this point (though I read all of the faq and plot post so I have the basic idea down of the Twilight Kingdom). I need to get a recap, a 'where do I fit'? sort of discussion and of course, those who would be willing to rp with said nasty brat be it plot or side rp.
Well until we get more people I think the RG plot thread is closed. There's little point leaving it open right now. So Count it off your list of rps your in until it may open again in the future.
I'll try to open the Traverse town thread monday evening or tuesday when I get back from an all nighter DnD and am not dead. For now let us keep that one open only, though Seph is giving me great ideas for more threads for the plot. One or two plot threads is good right now, this board is not all plot. When worlds fall it's only in plot! In casual rps nothing has changed. And I want people to still casually rp.
