When two flames meet (Open to all (changed my mind))

Nero looked around the empty world, he took a step foward, his boots clicking against the concrete. His breath was slow and even as he tried to find his brother's minds. He feared they may have blocked them off to prevent been followed by less then welcome people.

Nero licked his dry pink lips and let out another slow breath, "Where are you?" He whispered, he needed to find his brothers, the longer they were apart the more anxious he got, Nero gripped the golden pendent under his clothes and felt it's warmth and smiled calming down. They were alive.

'Ya know, Nero, You really got to stop worrying. Lee is a great warrior and Sel can handle himself.' Flare spoke from the confines of Nero's mind. The voice inside Nero's head. Flare had been the only thing that he kept Nero sane since his brothers went missing and he was glad for the man's company.
'It is hard not to worry, they are so young and Seltex is so small and fragile...'
Flare hummed in agreement, 'They are also survivours of the war Nero, They are children, yes, but they have also proven themselves to be as strong as any of our warriors."

Nero gazed at the empty city before him. After a moment he decided to take a look around, tentivly he took a step foward before falling into a brisk pace.

RE: When two flames meet (Axel/Flare&Nero)

He didn't know why he was here.

Axel stood in the center of some back alley in Fragment Crossing, not far from the Brink of Despair. It was just as empty, just as pointless, as any part of The World that Never Was. Maybe, once, he hadn't noticed, or hadn't minded so much, but now the silence weighed him down like it had not before, and he felt surrounded by death, by hopelessness.

Frustrated by the echo of sentiment that had brought him here at all, Axel made a sharp gesture to open a portal to another world, but paused when he heard something unexpected.

Footsteps.

Tensing in anticipation, Axel turned, keeping the portal open in case he needed to flee quickly. When he didn't recognize the figure approaching, he did not relax, but kept silent, waiting for the other to act, first.

Nero stopped seeing the other red head standing infront of a black vortex. He licked his lips and stared at the man, he was tall and extremely thin... but powerful, Nero could feel the power. There was something more to this man. After observing him for several seconds Nero took a few steps foward, He tensed his hand ready to summon his sword and maybe even swap places with Flare, the black head was itching to get out, Nero could feel it.

After a long silence Nero spoke, "Who are you?" He called in a clear voice, there was still several metres between them, but Nero knew they could be covered in several seconds if one of them decided to attack. Nero didn't want to fight so he decided to hold back.

'Come on! Just one fight!" Flare begged, 'I'll beat him in a few seconds.'
'No, he is strong Flare, we aren't going to mess around here, I don't want to risk further injuries to you.'
Flare groaned, he hated been reminded of his last battle, he had won, of course but the price on his body was heavy.
'I'll deal with this,' Nero assured Flare.

Axel's posture did not change, but he tilted his head slightly to evaluate the figure who spoke to him. Definitely not a heartless, and no Nobody that he recognized.

"Who's asking?" He returned, lips twisting with bemusement. He discreetly looked the man over for weapons; upon seeing none, he turned fully to face him, but still did not close the portal.

Nero nodded, "My name is Nero," He said, "Nero Falcar. I am travelling the worlds looking for my brothers. And you?"

Nero tucked his hands into his pockets and smiled at the man, trying to be polite and kind, "What world is this?" He asked, "I am still getting use to navigating between worlds." He explained.

As he stared at the Vortex behind the red head it reminded him more and more of the smoke that took his brothers from him.

RE: When two flames meet (Open to all (changed my mind))

"Welcome to The World That Never Was," Axel intoned, spreading his arms as if to indicate the world in its entirety - a mockery of The Superior, for Axel's private amusement. "And I'm Nobody."

He didn't pause to invite further questioning, but instead continued in a casual drawl, "If you're new to travelling between worlds, then how did you get here? Never-Was is one of those particularly-hard-to-get-to sorts of places, you know? People don't find it without looking for it."

Nero raised a critical eyebrow, "Everyone has a name, I can see you and hence you are someone, you must have a name."

Nero shrugged, "I have a crummy guide, that is how I got here."

'Thanks,' Flare s******ed to Nero mentally
'Welcome.'

(What do you mean? If dialogue posts are too long, they're either boring or powerplaying. It's about the back-and-forth. Unless you want some big dramatic introspection, but I don't see how that's going to help you? Our characters already appear to be having two simultaneous conversations, which is really not good for continuity =|)

Axel grinned, sharp and quick. "I do have a name, and I may be someone, but I am Nobody, and my name is best left unsaid, especially here.." The shadows have ears, someone is always listening- "It's best you don't commit it to memory."

He looked around, but no, he had not missed a second person. "Your guide must be incompetent indeed, to have lost his charge altogether...?" He was missing something here, he was sure of it. But what?

((Watch my magic as I turn two conversations into one :P))

Nero laughed at the insult to Flare, "Aye, he is at times, but I don't mind. I am a burden to him and can not blame him for his falts as he does not blame me for mine," Nero smiled fondly thinking of the quirky little things Flare did, even if they did get on his nerves, he looked at the red head, "If you fear giving your name I shall name you... spike."

'You sound like a deranged kid...wait haha you are a deranged kid!' Flare laughed at Nero's expense.
'Shut up.'

Axel's abbreviated eyebrows rose slowly up his broad forehead. "Spike," he echoed dryly. "What a wit you are."

Choosing not to pursue it, he instead finally closed the portal with an absent-minded gesture, propping the other hand on his hip. "Blame or no, you seem pretty lost. Where are you headed?"

He honestly had no idea why he was even considering helping this guy. He almost regretted not just slipping through the portal and avoiding this encounter altogether, but.. now that the other man knew he was here, he might as well make sure he was on his good side before they parted ways. Axel didn't need any more enemies.

((Come on what does Axel see what does he smell? Tell me!!))

Nero cleared his throat, headed? He wasn't headed anywhere... he was in search of his brothers. And he would follow their trail to any world.
He looked up at the sound of thunder, "Damn it." He pulled up his hood as the rain began to fall in thick heavy drops, "Is there any where dry we can go? I really do hate the rain." Not to mention the rain would make him deathly ill if he stayed out in it for too long.

Nero pulled his coat around him tightly, he walked closer to Axel and immediately felt the fire power.

'His like us...' Flare whispered.
'It would see so...' Nero replied mentally.

Nero stared at the other red head with his dull green eyes, he would have to question him later... maybe he was another survivour who escaped his world.

Axel grimaced - and then paused. Since when had it rained in The World That Never Was? There wasn't much weather here... but then, he'd been gone a while, and it appeared to be under new - or no management. After a moment of struggling to stuff his spiky red hair into the hood of his coat, he turned, scanning the horizon. ...Oh. Duh.

"This way," he said shortly, rather in a hurry to escape the rain as well. Axel's stride was long and brisk as he led the other man to The Brink of Despair, over which the entirety of Castle Oblivion hovered. As long as that peculiar magic didn't give out suddenly and drop the castle on their heads, it would serve as more than adequate cover from the rain.

"Well, then." Axel pushed his hood back down; the moisture in the air left the leather of his coat sticky and unpleasant against his skin. "Looks like you may be stuck here a while.

Nero hurridly followed Axel under the shealter. It was odd seeing a castle suspended above the ground like that. It made him think of one of Leamarden's less practical ideas about bettering their living conditions. An unconcious tear leaked from Nero's eye as he thought of his little brother. They were out there somewhere, alone and no doubt...scared. They were warriors, yes. They had seen war and battle, but they were still children.

Nero took a deep breath, "Great...," He muttered, "Please tell me that there is actually something to do in this world apart from hide from the rain." Nero was not one to stand around and do nothing and niether was Flare. It would not be a good idea to keep them cooped up for too long.

'Nero calm down, you are tense and when you get tense I become more foward...' Flare warned. If Nero was in pain or too anxious he would automatically turn into Flare, and did it ever give people a shock when the red head had a change of hair colours it was rather unpleasant for most people.
'I am sorry.'

Nero stared out at the rain that was falling, he pulled off his hood and sighed deeply, he would have to put off the search for his brothers for a little while.

"Well.. no," Axel said with a shrug. Anything that had been interesting in The World That Never Was was certainly long-dead and gone.

He watched the tear slide down the other man's face and raised one stubby red eyebrow. "Hey, if you're that worked up over it, I can open a portal out of here for you." He wasn't too eager to stay, himself, so it would probably save them both some time.

((Can we try something here cause your replies are way too short and though I cant do much about it Nathy might if you don't clean up. In your next reply try to write at least 5 proper sentences then next time increase it until you are writing ten sentences a reply just to make them longer))

Nero shook his head, "No, I am here to look for my brothers, and I am not going through one of those things..." Nero absolutely refused to use a portal like the one that stole his brothers from him.

Nero stared out at the rain and sighed deeply, the soft falling of the drops reminded him of his lost love, Aleyah... the water elemental. Nothing had been the same without her, she wasn't there to put him in line or call him an idiot when he was been one. She wasn't there to litrally hit him when she was bored.

'She is happier where she is.' Flare assured Nero.
'I hope so'

((Sorry mine is sooo short but I am almost out of time, computers are been mean today))
