For YEARS my grandmother insisted on buying my all things PINK and GIRLY. >_< She eventually TRIED upgrading... by buying me flannel shirts when I was going through my grunge phase... only she bought me PINK and PURPLE flannel. Which just should NOT exist. Or even better, when I was almost done with high school, she and part of my dad's family finally realized I could make use of art supplies. Downside? They bought me art kits meant for SIX YEAR OLDS. DX I was very glad when they finally started giving me gift cards.

Woot! Just downloaded it. I have all of the Crisis Perverted stuff on my iPod, and from OrgLIX, I have all the interviews. Haven't gotten around to listening to the rest of it yet.

I used to read Stygian Solace. But then I couldn't keep up with it. I still the alerts when a new chapter is posted, but it's been like five chapters since I last read it. Too long a gap, I forgot what happened in the last chapters. I'll read it all eventually.

I once found a really good II/IX story, well written, but I forget what it was called... hum. I'll remember eventually. I just looked up my old fanfiction account... there are a fair few decently written fics on there, I'm surprised. ShadowAili was my fave Zemyx author, and Carmine Complex wasn't too bad. Shame the author discontinued it.

... Yes I'm still up and it's like 1am here. Woot for no work tomorrow.

I was warned to stay away from Org LIX because it does the "Larxene is a lesbian LULZ" stereotype bullsh*t that makes me want to smash things ala Hulk style. All tough girls are not dykes, cut it out fans! It's so close-minded.

I think the best fic I read was a gen fic about Namine and each member of the Organization putting her to bed. No sex at all, just a neat little look into their personalities at a time when there really wasn't much of that stuff. Come to think of it, there still isn't much of it which is a shame.

Ugh.. I'm still sick! It went away and came back.

If I could find my old Diary I'd list off every pairing we could think of at the time that sounded good. To our dysfunctional brains, anyways. I was high on Strawberry-filled Mr.Mallows and my brother had just fallen off a scooter and slammed his head onto solid concrete at the time of our pair off.

Blows... goats... Interesting choice of words. I just have the flu. Getting better though. Knowing my luck it will be back after our Show day with vengeance. My flu loves doing that to me. I had it for a little while, then it disappeared, then reappeared a week later and stayed for a good month. I was a little ticked.

I have to be in the right frame of mind to listen to OrgLIX. It makes me cackle but at the same time, some of the stereotyping makes me cringe.

ShadowAili is very good, but one of my fav Zemyx authors is defintely Dualism - it makes me super sad that she's pretty much on hiatus during the summer due to vacations and wrist issues (to which I can totally relate).

Nah, no link. A lot of the fics I enjoyed have been lost to the devouring pit of deletion or buried. Last time I tried to look for a Larxene fic I liked, my keywords only brought up like ten lez fics and a bunch of crack. I wish I could recall who wrote it. There use to be a journal based gen Zexion fic too which was great.

Saix is interesting too. 358/2 days made him even more so. I'm expecting a flood of Saix/Axel or whomeversaixssomebodyis/Lea to be honest. I dunno, if one got into Saix's less tame side and paired it with Larxene, you could get some violent sex there... Larxene stop smiling, you scared Roxas already.

KH fanfiction is like crack - sometimes you get the really GOOD sh*t but the rest of it is terrible and not worth your time. XD I lost a good majority of the fics I had bookmarked when my desktop's motherboard fried back in the end of January/early February. :(

I'm actually rather fond of the GOOD gen fics I find on occasion - I'd rather have lots of delicious, meaty plot than a bunch of random smut. But I'm odd that way, apparently.

XD Too true! I have a lot saved in text documents somewhere in my folder of data disks. Habit I picked up back when fic was mainly passed around via mailing lists. I may have that Namine fic saved, I'll have to look sometime. Kinda hoping I have the Larx one I was looking for before too.

You know.. I never see much good done with Saix. I really am hoping the new game changes that.

Also, without even trying, Toddler Vexen Sim's One True Hobby is Science. This game reads my mind somedays..

Hah, I used to save fanfics back when we still had dial-up -- it used to take FOREVER for pages to load. I even used to print fanfics out back in high school and kept them in 3-ring binders so I could read them without fear of anyone coming up behind me on the family computer!

Speaking of hentai, I got sent Larxene porn today including the picture of her and Axel I thought I lost forever. I should just print it and hang it on the wall beside my 12-4-11 threesome. I stopped printing out fanfic when my parents threatened to make me pay for ink/paper. XD And then I finally got my own computer when I went off to college... and now I have a laptop so I can always carry fanfic with me! *smirk* And I'm with Larx on the time frame - when I first got into yaoi after my family finally got a computer and the internet, I was probably about 14-15ish... and that's about 10 years ago, when it DEFINITELY wasn't as accepted as it is now.

Mmm hentai... so long as it's well done - be it written, drawn or animated, I'll usually give it a chance, excepting a few kinks and squicks (I can't watch/read Loveless - the lolita/pedo squicks me out, even though it's pretty). So yaaaay for Larxene and Axel porn!

Yaoi use to be really taboo! I remember going to conventions and making the male dominated attendees very uncomfortable by openly bashing the hentai and yuri and requesting yaoi be sold. My ex blames the acceptance of yaoi as his reason for leaving anime actually. I guess it was fine to exploit women but not men XD

My first yaoi was Saint Seiya, a doujin bought at Otakon in 1999 I believe.

Yeah, my ex claims he left anime fandom due to all the "yaoi b*tches". I cheerfully reminded him he was fine with "Moo Milk Cow Girls", lesbian Tenchi Muyo, Hentai poker, and cute little rapable Loli girls being on display. All that was different was that women now had an outlet too and that most yaoi was a heck of a lot cleaner and less disgusting than hentai (I swear.. body fluids spewing all over are not appealing).

I will agree on that. For some odd reason the Japanese love their body fluids. I have one yaoi doujin on my shelf called Scrupple by three different circles... and one of them is known for unnecessary amounts of body fluids and it shows.

I haven't seen a lot of yaoi or yuri, for that matter, at JaCon or MegaCon (though that's probably cause I was in the dealers room for most of MegaCon. Pretty swords *pets them*), but MetroCon had quite a lot. I giggled insanely, cause that's just how I am.

Your nickname Riku reminds me of a story Spike Spencer (voice actor, funny man) told at Animazement called Oh My Hentai! His stories revolved around con stories that were either true or based on his imagination but were funny to listen to anyway.

I know AWA the one I am going to next as a section called Yaoi After Dark. There is a Hentai panel to compliment it as well. So I shall see how that goes since the con is rather large (10,000+) and I have never been to it before.

As a side note I am going to the beach on Thursday so I will not be posting that day just for a heads up.
